Let me be really clear about what just happened.
The head of the U.S. Postal Service sat in front of the United States Senate and said the quiet part loud: no voter list, no mail ballots. Full stop.
You don’t get to look away from this one.
This is a proposed rule. It’s being fought in court. But the fact that it was said — that a federal official openly threatened to withhold your ballot — that matters.
Your vote is yours. Not the administration’s. Not USPS’s. Yours.
Stay informed. Stay loud.
@Suzierizzo1 🤬, you know what actually WEAKENS our military Pete? SICK SOLDIERS! Hegseth’s a fcking idiot, 💯 incompetent for the job he was given. Hopefully he’ll be brought before The Hague
I'm not running for office. But if I were, these are some of the lessons I'd take away from what happened in NY yesterday.
1. Authenticity is measurable. Voters can smell a focus group from a mile away.
2. Endorsements from the current Democratic leadership now read like warnings. The establishment wing of the party is no longer a sword. It's a question mark.
3. Conviction beats caution. The candidates who said hard things about rent, about who pays for what, about Gaza, they won. The triangulators lost.
4. Cost of living is everything. Everything else is wallpaper.
5. The middle is not a strategy. It's an empty room. Voters reached past the establishment to grab someone who actually believes something.
6. Don't fear the base. Court it. The Democrats who ran from their own voters lost. The ones who ran toward them won.
7. If you want to lead a party you have to be willing to fight inside it. Mamdani didn't ask permission. He took the field.
The lesson under the lessons: the country is tired of being managed. People want to be led.
Ossoff: We see a faithless president, self-dealing, while he depicts himself as Christ, while he depicts the Obamas as apes, while he plunges the nation recklessly into war, plunders our health care, and sends prices soaring.
And while the people pay more than ever for groceries and housing and health care, he builds a monument to himself.
While a cancer patient loses health coverage, he adorns his office in gold.
Voting rights laws are dismantled, prisons for immigrants are full of children, and all the while we see this wickedness advanced and defended by those who wrap themselves in the banner of righteous faith.
But we ask, where in Scripture are we commanded to deny care to the sick, to take from those with the least to give to those with the most, to violate the house of worship to hunt down the refuge
The truth can be uncomfortable but it is the job of elected representatives to shine a light on it regardless. That’s what we elect them to do.
The abuse that is being carried out in ICE detention Centers will be a defining hallmark of this administration. Is this another example of the Nazi playbook? It really is time to stop imitating Josef Mengele.
I have long been an admirer of @ossoff and you should be too, because as leaders go, he’s the gold standard.

Scientists in Atlanta were stopped from criticizing the Trump admin at a scientific conference, so let me do it here:
Trump is destroying biomedical research in America, and it will take decades to get back on track.
Spread the word. Stand up for science.
For almost six months, I followed the money behind the largest data center campus in Maryland — going up right now on the old Eastalco site in Adamstown.
I expected a local development story. What I found was a Texas private-equity firm and a consortium anchored by the sovereign wealth funds of Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, and Singapore, buying critical American infrastructure and building it on Frederick County farmland.
I found a county that doubled its data-center zone over the objection of its own planners — after the developers who stood to profit had funded the majority that voted yes.
I found 21,000 neighbors who gathered signatures in the dead of winter to put it to a vote, and a consortium of global capital that went to court and got that vote thrown out on a technicality last week.
And I found the bill the rest of us pay: power bills projected up as much as $70 a month, five million gallons of water a day in the middle of a drought, and 99 diesel generators permitted within a thousand feet of Carroll Manor Elementary.
It's all here, sourced line by line. The referendum is dead. The fight is not. Please read it, and share it with someone in MD-06 before Tuesday.
Everyone on the right got pissed off when I noticed the state of the art circulation and filtration system Obama had added to the Reflecting Pool 16 years ago was removed by Trump. Now we find out that Trump *did* remove it. This isn't hard to deduce. Anything Obama did will be removed and destroyed. We paid good money for that system only to be charged $14 million to have the pool painted and the filtration system removed. This was a money laundering scheme. Nothing more.
This should be on the front page of every newspaper in America.
Trump’s DOJ just shut down a federal investigation into a coal company owned by Sen. Jim Justice, one of his closest allies, after it racked up tens of thousands of alleged violations for dumping dangerous chemicals into our waterways. A veteran federal prosecutor with 24 years on the job said he had never seen anything like it.
The man who killed the case was Todd Blanche, Trump’s former personal defense lawyer and current Acting Attorney General. This is the same guy who just gave Trump, his family, and his companies permanent immunity from IRS audits. Now Trump wants the Senate to make Blanche’s appointment permanent too.
Equal justice under law was never supposed to come with exceptions for the President’s friends.
The pattern isn’t subtle: protect Trump’s friends, prosecute his critics, and get rewarded with more power. That is corruption, plain and simple. Todd Blanche must not be confirmed.

#BREAKING: @jdvance: “If you go back to WWII, if you go back to WWI, if you go back to every major conflict in human history, they all ended with some kind of negotiation.”
Lawrence: “NO, they didn’t. WWII ended with ZERO negotiations. WWII ended the way Donald Trump claimed his war in #Iran was going to end—unconditional surrender. Japan and Germany each signed unconditional surrender documents. Adolf Hitler killed himself rather than submit Germany to the unconditional surrender that he knew was coming. Every vice president, everyone, prior to JD Vance has KNOWN that President FDR demanded the unconditional surrender of Germany and Japan during WWII and when FDR died…his vice president, then elevated to the presidency, Harry Truman, accepted those unconditional surrenders without a word of negotiation with anyone about those surrenders. That kind of statement by JD Vance demonstrating a complete IGNORANCE of how WWII ended is the kind of thing that used to get you drummed out of American politics before Donald Trump’s DUMBING DOWN of the Republican Party and it tells you something about the quality of thinking that the vice president of the United States brings to his job.” 😳
The Lessons I Learned from My Dad
I am not the man my father is.
I am trying. Some days closer. Some days farther.
He never sat me down and explained these lessons. He lived them. I’m still learning them.
Show up.
The kitchen table. The hospital room. The funeral. The picket line. The call from the son who won’t answer.
Show up.
Most days that’s the whole job.
My whole life I watched him do it. Not for cameras. Not for headlines. Not because there was something in it for him. He showed up because someone needed him.
I learned that grief doesn’t make you special.
My father buried a wife and daughter. He buried a son. Yet he never treated grief as a claim on other people’s sympathy. Instead, it made him notice theirs.
A mother who lost a child. A father sitting beside a hospital bed. A kid scared about what comes next. A son who lost his mother, his sister, his brother.
He always noticed.
I learned that power is not the point.
The people who chase power eventually confuse the office with themselves.
My father never did.
Whether he was a county councilman, a senator, vice president, or president, he was the same man.
The title changed.
He didn’t.
I learned that family comes first.
The train from Wilmington wasn’t symbolism.
It was every night.
He read to us. Showed up to games. Sat through hospital rooms. Waited up for children who were lost.
And when the day came that the country and the family could not both have him at full strength, he chose family. He relinquished the last chapter of how he wanted to be remembered. And he never complained about it.
Most of all, I learned that love is not soft.
Love is discipline.
Love is showing up at one in the morning when nobody is watching.
Love is answering the phone.
Love is staying.
Love is getting back up after life knocks you down and doing it all again tomorrow.
That love saved my life.
I’ve failed at many of these lessons, sometimes in very public ways.
He loved me anyway.
That’s the last lesson.
I am not trying to become my father.
I am trying to carry what he gave me.
And if I can do that, even imperfectly, that will be enough.
Happy Father’s Day, Dad. I love you.
@LaraLeaTrump@FoxNews we know you never report #Facts (paid nearly $800M for #Lies) Obama library WAS NOT built w taxpayer $! However your dementia ridden FIL does use TAXPAYER FUNDS for everything-reflecting pool, his bunker, plane, every gd gaudy *remodel*. FUQ YOU!
Lara Trump on Obama Library: It’s ugly, it's over budget, the taxpayers are footing the bill. When I think about what I would want a legacy of a president to look like, I think about the Trump presidential library.
Kratom is a plant from Asia that hits the same brain receptors as opioids. People take it for energy or pain. It can be addictive and it can kill.
People buy it at gas stations, with no age check and no honest label.
Markwayne Mullin owns up to a million dollars in a kratom company. Then he stood at an FDA podium and pushed rules to crush that company’s rivals. He never sold the stock.
The company was founded by a felon who stole $10 million and did prison time. His kratom shots are tied to liver damage, seizures, and death. The stuff showed up in 5,200 overdose deaths in five years. A 27 year old grad student took it for six weeks and died. His mother says a real ban would have saved him.
You cannot make this up. The same company paid a Trump connected lobbyist $600,000.
Then the payoff. The Justice Department dropped its lawsuit. The FDA scrubbed the warnings off its website. RFK Jr. called Ohio’s governor to kill a state ban. And the company wired a million dollars to a PAC tied to Kennedy.
This is the swamp they swore to drain. It is worse than ever before.

Land bordering Yosemite, Sequoia, and Pinnacles National Parks — now cleared for oil rigs and fracking. YES fracking!
Two hundred thousand people said NO. The federal government did it anyway.
Over 1 million acres of California public land just got opened up - land that touches ancient sequoia groves older than the country itself and sits right in Yosemite’s backyard.
Patagonia's CEO came out swinging, accusing the administration of putting oil profits over the planet's health and saying public land was never meant to be sold off to drilling companies.
And the man who'll make the final call? He was recently confirmed to run BLM after his own state party called him "an outright enemy of public lands."
Who's going to tell a tree older than the country that its time is up?
