An Open Letter to the Jantar Mantar protestors:
My dear young friends,
I address you today not as a politician or an MP, but as someone deeply troubled by what is happening to your generation of young Indians.
This is personal for me. I was born to a middle-class family: my father was a salaried newspaper employee, my mother a homemaker, with three children to educate on one income. For a family like ours, merit was not a slogan. Scholarships, fair examinations, honest results — these were the only way one salary could carry three children's dreams.
I went to school in Mumbai and Kolkata, to college here in Delhi, topped the University and earned admission into IIM — and chose instead to follow my passion for international affairs, in America, on a scholarship. Nothing was inherited; everything was earned by hard work and yes, Exams.
So I know that a fair, merit-based system is the only ladder for young people from lower and middle-income families to climb up. When that ladder is broken — papers leaked, examinations cancelled, trust destroyed — the children of the rich and powerful do not suffer. They have other ladders. It is your dreams, and your families' sacrifices (and tragically, in some homes, young lives themselves) that are betrayed.
To the young people gathered at Jantar Mantar, and those raising your voices peacefully across India: this country hears you. Your anger is not indiscipline — it is the anguish of a generation that did everything right and was still betrayed . You are not alone.
And to the millions of young Indians watching quietly: your generation is not a problem to be managed. You are the answer to India's future. Do not lose hope. This ladder will be rebuilt — by you, and by every Indian who stands with you.
To Shri Sonam Wangchuk-ji, my heartfelt appeal: please end your fast. You have awakened the conscience of the nation; that is what a fast is meant to do. India needs your voice for the long road ahead.
With Parliament in session again from Monday, we will have an opportunity to raise the students’ issues in the highest forum of our democracy. That’s where the problem should be addressed, not by fasting unto death. Please heed my plea.
And finally, to the Government: I respectfully urge you to reach out and engage in the dialogue our democracy owes its young citizens. That is not weakness; that is statesmanship.
Here is some information on the gamblers in Korea:
"Korea Financial Supervisory Service: As of July 13, the cumulative total of over 1.2 million leveraged retail accounts across the Korean market triggered margin calls, with approximately 320,000–360,000 accounts fully forcibly liquidated by brokers (principal wiped out, some with partial negative balances owed to brokers)"

A #policeofficer allegedly allowed his #minor#granddaughter to drive a car (TS 07 GP 7450) on the busy #Gandhamguda–#Bairagiguda road in #Hyderabad, reportedly causing a #trafficjam and raising serious #roadsafety concerns.
When locals questioned the act, the officer allegedly defended it instead of acknowledging the violation.
The incident, captured on video, has since gone viral, with many demanding action and equal enforcement of traffic laws.
We booked an Uber, no one was accepting, so I added +55 as a tip, a driver accepted, I messaged him to ask if he is coming, he read but didn’t respond, I knew the car number, so I started looking for it, when I saw the car, we kept our suitcases and got in, I gave the OTP, he told me that it is wrong, I told him this is what it is showing in the App, he said I have come for Rapido booking and I was like I booked Uber, he cancelled in from of me, I got into a quarrel with him, there was a police officer near by, he was observing and asked what happened, I narrated him the incident, so he instructed the driver to take us, he had no choice, so he reluctantly drove us, but after 200 meters of the Airport, he started his drama, we had to get down in the middle of the road. He told us “Jo ukhaad na hain, ukhaad lo”.
I don’t understand, if you do not wish to complete a ride, why accept it on the first place, even if you do by mistake and believe that the fair is not enough, why not cancel right away.
Why waste time and energy and spoil someone’s mood?
And again someone will call out to me and say that I always paint India as a country with low trust, isn’t it?
Rs 100 Cr is the new Rs 10 Cr!
A majority of officials booked by #Telangana ACB have nothing less than Rs 100 Cr illegal assets amassed during service. Be it in lands, cash or precious metal. From Agri lands to commercial, Kgs of gold to diamonds,
All public money!

I live in Bengaluru. I leave for badminton every day at 6:40 am. The court is 5 km from my place. In the morning, it does not take more than 10 minutes.
I took the HAL Old Airport Road. Friday morning, the roads were empty. I was riding at roughly 60 km/h. There was a truck about 150m ahead of me, moving slowly in the left lane.
I planned to overtake it from right. I throttled my FZ, and just when I was 50-60m from the truck, it made an abrupt cut to the right.
My heart missed a beat and my reflexes took over. I applied both brakes with full power. Yamaha bikes have crazy braking. My bike stopped 4-5 metres short of the truck.
I was about to curse the truck driver when I saw a Zomato delivery guy on his Yulu, riding on the wrong side. The truck driver had made an abrupt cut to save him.
No wonder India is the road accident capital of the world. Nobody gives a f*ck about rules. If you ride a two-wheeler, pray for your life.
Shapoorji Pallonji borrows ₹21,500 crores to refinance debt at yield between 14.50% and 18.95%! This is atrocious finance cost for a group with tremendous track record.
The group is under financial stress and yet nable to liquidate stake in Tata Sons. RBI and Govt is going slow on Tata Sons listing.
