@CadesAttorney Snipe Draymond from resigning with the warriors. He'd give us size and defense at the 4, great passer and can actually initiate the offense when letting Cade play a little off ball. He's have a field day setting screens for all our 3pt shooters we have now.
@daily_UofM@KuKhahil It's not really that close. Defensively it's close. But Collins is a significantly better rebounder and he's a bigger body down low which is needed after losing stew. He's also a significantly better finisher at the rim. The only thing Rui does is shoot 3s essentially
@BruceTennen You can say almost the same thing for Rui. The only thing he does well is shoot the corner 3. That's it. At least Collins is a better rebounder, especially on the offense glass, and he's a play finisher. Plus Collins gives more size down low. Rui plays like a traditional wing.
@sixringsofsteeI Adding a bunch of 40% 3pt shooter to a team that desperately needed spacing for Cade, Duren, and Ausar to work while also clearing cap isn't weird I don't think.
@mc142609 How you feel about Draymond? I feel like a lot of casuals would hate it but he low key would be an amazing fit for how the roster is currently constructed.
He's most likely gonna resign with the warriors but I'm pretty sure after Trajen cleared all of this cap space, we'd be able to afford to sign Duren for $35M and still have room to snag Draymond.
Draymond Green would low-key be a perfect fit for this current Pistons roster construction.
We're loaded up on 3pt shooters. We have Cade, we have lob threats. We're missing size. We need size and D in the front court.
Draymond would go wild setting screens for shooters
@Ronin_Ken@PistonOfTheDay And daring teams to funnel down to Duren with all this shooting. I think the 3pt shooting will help Duren as much as it help Cade.
@PistonOfTheDay They did just win 60 games with shit 3pt shooting and no other playmaker outside of Cade. All the 3pt shooting helps. Maybe he thinks Okorie will grow into that role throughout the course of the season. The 3pt shooting will massively help Duren in the playoffs too.
@SleeperPistons Honestly surrounding Cade with all these 40% 3pt shooters, makes the need for a true #2 ball handler next to him less of a necessity. We just won 60 games without a #2 for Cade and terrible 3pt shooting. This give time for Okorie to grow into that role as the season goes on.
@IsaiahJoeMuse I'm a big fan of Prince over LeVert. I like that Trajan is giving cade more shooters at least. If we get enough 40% 3pt shooters, do we really need a #2 shot creator next to Cade or can we wait to see how Okorie fairs in that role as the season progresses.
@KuKhahil I'm guessing we're gonna have to run Ron and Tolu at the backup 4. Collins will each up 65-75% of the minutes. That leave about 12-17 min at the backup 4 position to split between Ron and Tolu. I not comfortable with Tolu getting 10+ minutes a game regularly.
