I have just watched on Netflix (American Son). This film is so powerful in so many different ways. Find the time to watch it, am sure you will be like me considering all the different points of views and what could have changed the outcome. While pondering on each argument made.

Crying isn’t something you want to do in public in front of https://t.co/fYQ5KyJMtQ took all my strength today to hold back my tears for my son, difficult/emotional day for us both.Mental Health isn’t easy to deal with and at times it’s difficult knowing what to do for the best.
Am all about telling the truth. But Prince Harry, you need a new advisor. Megan could have used her position to lead on Equity Diversity and Inclusion for so many people. I would love your views on (Unconscious Bias). Is it a free get out of racism card?

God Help us- A stranger called me to say my mum is possibly having a stroke. I went to mums house no ambulance. Went to Burton Hospital A/E. told they don’t do stroke patients there. Drove to Derby A/E. Told it could be Hours before mum is seen. Totally different to what Nice say
@minoritisedNHS @STSFTrust I would love an open debate surrounding this post across all NHS Trust, that difficult conversation which no one really wants to have. Racist staff within the NHS-trusted to treat all compassionately?
@minoritisedNHS Maybe it’s the way they interview you? or the interview panels are not diverse which puts BAME/ BME at a disadvantage. DHCFT Excutive Board is quit diverse. It’s the service manager roles which is lacking in diversity. We just need to keep fighting for a more just culture for all
Employers refer more Black nurses to the NMC for fitness to practise & a higher % of these cases are closed early by the NMC.
Employers acknowledge that B&B nurses are more likely to face disciplinary action.
Employers deny that ethnicity plays any part in their referral. 🤔
@derbyshcft Well done to everyone and a special shout out to Shirley in our comms team who has received a Deed. She cares so deeply about her work with the teams of Derbyshire Healthcare
@kim_oneil@revpeterbarham Agree- people are suffering due to high inflation, food banks used by more NHS worker who have no choice because they are drowning in debt. Increase in mental health and the list just go’s on. However mismanagement isn’t down to the government accountability is lost on both sides
@derge12@revpeterbarham I have considered a private healthcare plan but then ask myself the question why should l. When l have worked since leaving school and paid into the system. I believe we just need to look at everything again for a fairer system. My son has fully recovered. 🙏 thank you
@Mulrain@revpeterbarham We also need to look at the mismanagement of those running the services. Nurses who are paid lower than those that don’t have any responsibilities. Domestic who are the cornerstone of the NHS the lowest paid These are not issues we can blame the government for l respect your view
@OdinSkoll@revpeterbarham We live in a democracy country and the beauty of it is that we can all have our own opinions and views and we don’t have to agree Lord Odin of Windsor. I respect your view and thank you for your comment.
