This is very concerning particularly as one of the main speakers, who may or may not have been the organiser, is already awaiting trial. It really doesn’t take a lot of work to at least question some of those involved. The posters, as well as the speeches made today, undoubtedly caused alarm and distress but these public order offences don’t seem to matter in Brighton to some minorities.
@Tzioni2 That’s an interesting question. Although from my experience in Brighton, where there’s very few orthodox people but plenty of antisemitism, visibility is a Magen David or just being seen going into a shul.
I don’t like the hierarchy of hate. But the reality is that a Jewish person in Britain today is 9 times more likely to be a victim of hate than our Muslim neighbours. At some point I hope we will elect a Prime Minister who wants to tackle & challenge that hate at its source, on a societal level, instead of making antisemitism a police problem. It starts in schools, in religious institutions, in political parties. @andyburnham will you be brave enough to actually tackle antiJewish racism or do we have to continue to live behind ever higher fences, with more community protection policing as our norm?
Jewish people are nine times more likely than Muslims to be victims of hate crime, Home Office data show.
The figures revealed that Jewish people faced hate crimes at a rate of 116.5 offences per 10,000 people last year compared with 13.3 per 10,000 for Muslims🔗

@Rosa60044194 In your opinion. Which is just that. An opinion. Worth nothing. But thanks for feeling so entitled that you can tell me what to do. 🤦🏻♀️
@JoosyJew Was he ever part of our community? The sleazy ‘hypnotist’ who will give women bigger breasts. The coward who wouldn’t show up to his own conference. The party leader that couldn’t win a council seat. Not one of us.
@ravnahum5729 Does anyone even care what he thinks or does now anyway? He can’t be trusted and he’s a coward. He has made himself irrelevant and his party racist
It feels fitting that as I opened my eyes this morning, the day felt colder suddenly and the rain has slowly gotten heavier. On October 7th, 2023, the unimaginable became a social media post, seeping into our phones, horror beyond belief. The faces, the terror, the heartbreak, changed everything. We split into the believers and the deniers. The rules suddenly changed. ‘Believe all women’ but not those ones. Terror is bad, but that was justified. Hate & discrimination is not welcome here, but neither am I. Hamas broke down fences & doors on that hellish morning but western, liberal, leftist society continues the nightmare by building walls around my community, divisions in our society, gates around our places of worship. And this last week they tried to erase our history, our place in Britain and to tell us all self determination is encouraged, except ours. Not welcome in Britain without a purity pledge and not allowed our ancestral homeland. The ever-wandering Jew. What was started on October 7th by Hamas, continues now, here in our cities, on our streets, in political parties, universities, governments, everywhere we turn. And we’re scared. I’m scared. Just as we were as we watched those first videos coming out of Nova. But it didn’t stop. It was only the beginning.
May their memories be as a blessing always.
"Feminism has been hijacked, along with many other forms of legitimate campaigns, by the far-left wing.
They refuse to acknowledge the suffering and rape perpetrated by certain men. Look at Iran, Afghanistan, Sudan, and Nigeria; brutal rape is now used as a weapon of war. Every feminist, regardless of colour, creed, or political leaning, should call this out for what it is."

Tsachi and Ma’ayan.
My stomach is in knots.
The sky is bloated grey and the clouds contract like sobs.
We tell your story again and again. Grateful for the chance to keep you alive with one more sentence, one more word. To remind them of your life, and terrible death.
Dear world, Tsachi and Ma’ayan Idan lived. And loved. And were loved.
We will never let them forget.
@HeidiBachram@JoosyJew And in Brighton there will always be a corner where we hold their memories, alongside the love you, @adammaanit & Eden, have shown them, in our hearts. May their memories be as a blessing always
