D-Line 6-Point - 3-Point Drill
- During the six-point drill, defensive linemen should focus on pushing directly from the ground to generate power.
- Successful execution requires the player to explode out of their hips to fully unlock their power.
- When transitioning to a three-point stance layout, the player must keep their feet locked into the ground throughout the movement.
- Coaches should ensure that hands go straight from the ground to the opponent or sled without any backward cocking motion.
- Maintaining proper upper body posture is critical, which includes keeping the eyes up, the chin up, and the neck braced or bowed.
- Ideal hand technique involves placing the thumbs up with elbows tucked in to achieve a great lockout against the target.

🚨🚨🚨 BREAKING NEWS:
McMinn Central has hired Marc Davis to be its new boys basketball coach.
A staple of the community, Davis is no stranger to the Chargers basketball program. He played at Central from 1988-1991 and coached on staff from 1998-2002, 2012 and then this year.
Marcus Freeman shares why "leading by example" isn't enough.
"We don't love leaders by example. Because leaders by example are guys that do what they're told to do, they do everything they're asked, right?"
"But they don't say things when their teammates aren't reaching the standard. We can't have that."
Real leadership isn't just performing at the standard. It's protecting the standard.
"We need more leaders. Guys that are willing to hold their teammates accountable because it's gonna make your teammate better."
Accountability isn't about being hard on people. It's about caring enough to not let them settle.
"I wanna make everybody in our organization the best they possibly can be. So if I let you cut corners or I don't say something to you when you're falling under the standard, then I'm not helping push you to the best you can be."
Leading by example is the baseline.
Leading with accountability is the standard.
