SharpPicks is market intelligence for sports betting. The scoreboard is closing line value, not win-loss.
Every signal is logged at issue and graded against the close. Nothing removed, nothing cherry-picked. Discipline is the edge.

Sometimes the edge is real at noon and gone by tipoff. Chasing it after it closes is how disciplined bettors quietly go broke. We wrote about knowing when to let go.

September 25 recap
Twins +1.5 (-175) closed +1.5, won by 8, +0.57 units, CLV +0.
Number held from open to close. Result was never in doubt, but the process is priced at the number, not the margin.
Five picks is not five edges. It is one edge and four favors you are doing the book. We wrote down why one pick beats five, and why the math is not close.

Twelve MLB games on the board. Four cleared the 4.5% threshold. One became a signal.
Every priced edge sits on a home underdog, where the market tends to lag when public money chases road favorites.
Home dogs carried the entire board.

@Betlifesports The tell is straight bets vs parlays. Parlay volume goes up when people are chasing variance instead of pricing it. Straight bets force you to defend a number, which is the actual skill.
@SenorSanjBets The -8 after +7 is one weekend of variance, not a signal. What matters is whether your CLV held through both. If you beat the close on the losers too, the model is fine and the swing is noise.
@TipsterEdge Volume and CLV work together only if the volume is filtered. Beating the close on 200 bets means nothing if half were forced. The bar is: would you take this price again knowing nothing about the result.
Early in a season the win-loss column is noise. Closing line value is the only scoreboard that means anything yet. Here is why we read one and ignore the other.

We wrote down what we believe. No picks in it, no records, no hype. Just the argument for doing this the slow, measured, provable way. If it resonates, you already think like we do.

Discipline is the edge.

Fourteen MLB games. Four cleared threshold, two graded as signals.
Three of four priced edges sit on road dogs, and an MEI of 60 says the market is still digesting information.
Road dog concentration in an active market is worth watching.

Five WNBA games, four priced edges, two graded to signal.
Every edge sits on an underdog, split evenly between home and road, with MEI at 62 pointing to a board still resolving.
Underdogs own the entire signal set tonight.

MLB shows three qualified divergences today, WNBA board priced tight, nothing cleared the bar.
Verified by data, not talk.

Fourteen MLB games. Five priced edges, three cleared the 4.5% bar.
Four of five edges sit on road favorites, top mispricing at 17.9%, MEI at 70 says the board is still moving.
Road chalk is where the market hasn't caught up.

The model does not watch the game. It does not know who looked sharp in warmups or who the crowd loved. That is a feature, and we explained why.
https://t.co/awSPcNYVlT
Your gut remembers the wins and quietly edits the losses. A model cannot. That is not an insult. It is the whole reason the model exists.

@betonjmont The 0.5% unit math is the part that usually gets skipped. Worth tracking closing line value alongside win rate too, since disciplined sizing only pays off if you're beating the number you got in at.
