@Damon_Peters@Acyn You fucking clowns keep throwing around the word "merit" like it means something, but there's nothing meritocratic about this government. Trump himself has no merit: he failed upward and parlayed a racist smear against Obama ("DEI hire", amirite?) into a fascist dictatorship.
@Damon_Peters@Acyn Please. Doing away with DEI is an excuse resume systematic discrimination and replace qualified civil servants with loyalists.
What does "merit" even mean when you replace Lloyd Austin with Pete Hegseth, Michael Whitaker with Sean Duffy, or any of this admin's unqualified hacks?
incredible to see Andreessen Horowitz institute a jobs program for white men they admit are unqualified, after all that complaining that "DEI" was ruining their dreams of meritocracy

@bejamas Maybe it's time to change this green check for Heroku to a yellow dollar sign with a note that it'll cost you (in time, at least) to manage automatic GitHub deployments until they get this sorted? https://t.co/E02RBAbAzl
We use Heroku for a bunch of apps, and we've been unable to use review apps for nearly two weeks now. It's a disaster.
I'm curious: Where are other teams (esp. in government) moving to from Heroku?
Heroku had a catastrophic security incident involving GitHub OAuth tokens on April 15. It's not resolved; Heroku customers still cannot use GitHub CI/CD integration.
And hilariously, nobody is talking about it because nobody uses Heroku anymore 😂

It's important to know the context regarding the guy who just bought this place crowing about "Free speech online."
The context is he has repeatedly gotten in trouble with the SEC for using twitter to manipulate stock prices. The free speech he cares about is securities fraud.
@zackseuberling Thanks. I should mention that I’m in no place to procure a new platform right now, so Netlify is sadly not in reach. But their conventions are nice!
What web servers, platforms, and/or tools are folks using to manage large lists of URL redirects? Nginx, Varnish, HAProxy, maybe even Apache mod_rewrite? Or do you do this in your app server framework of choice? Hosted CDN?
