He's the first Australian to be elected to this role so a huge achievement for him and for our country.

Great meeting with @SomersetRC recently to talk about key priorities for the region - including disaster funding, road, water and community infrastructure, and fire ants.

It's a privilege to represent the Somerset and I will always fight for a fair share for the region.

Lovely to catch up with Dr James Doyle at the newly opened Summervale Medical clinic in Fernvale.

This is a fully bulk billing GP practice, and it's great to see services like this opening in the Somerset Region, making it easier for locals to access affordable healthcare.

Recently dropped into the @Beacon_Com Baptist Church Menshed in Ipswich for a chat about federal politics and local issues, and check out their workshop.

Beacon has just welcomed new Pastors Luke and Sam, who work with local charity NBHD Switch City, and will do a fantastic job.

With momentum building behind an @ipswichjets @NRL franchise, it's great that this new grandstand should be completed by late 2027 in time for a potential new western corridor team to enter the national competition from 2029.

Fantastic to turn the sod for the new $40M North Ipswich Reserve Western Grandstand today.

I was proud to secure $20M in Federal funding for this project so it was great to kick off construction on this major development for our city.

Great to meet with @PharmGuildAus QLD today on how we're working together to deliver better health outcomes in Blair.

The Albanese Government has partnered with pharmacists to support paid prac for pharmacy students, and deliver cheaper medicines and our women's health package.

Great to meet with Stepping Stone Clubhouse recently and hear about their plans to establish a presence in Ipswich.

Stepping Stones supports members into education and employment and provides ongoing support. I think would make a great addition to the range of services in Blair.

Great to attend the Ipswich 60 & Better AGM to celebrate the group’s achievements for the year and look to the year ahead.

The group does so much to support health and wellbeing through social activities, sport and recreation, arts and crafts, and information for members.

Honoured to speak to a group of visiting Indonesian government officials in Canberra this week about Australian foreign policy and our relationship with Indonesia.

Australia has no closer partner and programs like this help us to build even stronger people to people links.
