Review of the new netflix movie: Mr Easy Loo

The story of Nkopane Sam Matona

What a movie! I truly enjoyed it - it was amazing to watch a movie on the Apartheid era but yet still carry a bit of sense of humour.

There were many key lessons in this movie especially for black people in today’s day & age!

We see Nkopane carry a dream that those around laugh and dismiss from all his attempts. Yet, he pushes & we can give credit to his grandmother & his wife. Let’s be honest, many people do not even have a support system, which makes it even harder.

This movie shows us how Black Success is possible & also how black people are actually very smart & have always been smart with or without formal education. Lol, Sam does make foolish mistakes along the road - who steals from a company then brings the money to the bosses 😭😂

Its crazy that Apartheid was so isolating that there were products just for white people 🤷🏼‍♂️ Like when the wife said ‘It smells like a white person’ I laughed but also was like wow, that is hectic cause in 2024, we do not really pay attention to such lol cause we have access to anything.

The casting of this movie was a 10/10 - Aubrey Poo was a perfect lead for it - He outdid himself alongside the other cast!

Grateful that there were no sex scenes that would hinder families to watch it with their kids cause now, this could inspire a young generation of black hustle & the history of black spaza shops, side hustle, entrepreurship, etc.
