We shared a new fall favourite “Yellow Time” by Lauren Stringer. Went for a walk to collect yellow leaves and found some more yellow treasures. Leaves came inside for a collaborative collage that was played with throughout the day.
Our class chose the nature name Dandelion Class this year. A good reason to buy some new books 📚❤️ Here are some I found…

After reading Chipmunk at Hollow Tree Lane, went outside to collect supplies to get ready for winter like a chipmunk. Later made nests & burrows using loose parts from nature & in the classroom. Students excited to show further explorations they made during outside play time.

On the first day of school, I always treasure the hour that I get to spend with my class from last year. I recently bought a new book to share. It helped spark a conversation about many of the good things we got to do together last year in Kindergarten.
I helped my wife put together this video of her students unpacking the meaning & importance of indigenous land acknowledgements in schools. I think it’s a process worth undertaking w/ children&adults alike. https://t.co/U4wNIkzmgO @surrey_schools@sd43bc#TruthAndReconciliation
No matter how many times I see and hold a book for the 1st time, it always feels magical. This one feels extra special because of how much joy & love I felt working with Robin Wall Kimmerer’s beautiful writing! @LernerBooks

@LaurelFynes Thinking of stewed rhubarb simmering in a pot brings me right back into the kitchen of my childhood ❤️
Thanks for connecting me to some lovely memories…
I’ve been playing this game with my 2 1/2 yr old grandchild. First we had fun just building the path, now we use the die, next I’m thinking we can use the bag to choose a block by feel. So much fun to explore different ways to play with game materials. #MathPhoto22#mathgames

Thank you so much! My book has arrived💚🌿
I’m looking forward to looking closely at this amazing resource
… and to continue looking closely at nature with my summer walking buddy!
