Every industry is asking what AI can do for us. In pharma, I believe the bigger question is: what can AI help us prevent?
A defective batch. A counterfeit product reaching a patient. That is where AI can strengthen quality, safety and trust.

Under #KindCare, we have launched a nationwide preventive oncology initiative with @MamtaHIMC to reach over one million women and families across underserved communities through awareness, HPV vaccination, early detection, and frontline health worker training.
#CancerAwareness
Fewer than 2% of Indian women have ever been screened for cervical or breast cancer. Yet, most cases continue to be diagnosed late, often because awareness and access never reached the women who needed them most.
Early detection can save lives.

Nine years of GST.
For healthcare, its impact has gone beyond taxation. A more unified market has strengthened supply chains, improved efficiencies, and enabled better access to medicines across geographies.

The government's decision to register and trace pharmaceutical packaging manufacturers is a step I have been hoping to see for a long time.
Traceability is not a compliance exercise. It is a commitment to the patient.
This is the right move.

Care can go beyond healthcare.
It can live in cleaner water, safer streets, cleaner cooking and more responsible choices.

This weekend, I had the joy of spending time with some truly special little ones, alongside our partners at the Child Heart Foundation.
This initiative focuses on early screening of babies before birth to detect congenital heart conditions and ensure they receive timely treatment when it matters the most. Over the past year, it has helped save 18 young lives.
I had the chance to meet 10 of these children and their families. Seeing them healthy and smiling after everything they have gone through felt deeply personal. Listening to parents share their journey from fear to hope is something I will carry with me, and it reinforced how life-changing early intervention can be.
What stood out to me just as much was the role of ASHA workers. Their dedication on the ground, reaching families, building awareness, and enabling early diagnosis, truly makes them the backbone of such health initiatives in our country.
One moment I will always remember was taking the handprints of these little ones. A simple gesture, but one that captured the lives we have touched and the responsibility I feel going forward.
I feel grateful to the doctors, ASHA workers, and every partner who continues to make this possible. Experiences like these strengthen my belief that what we are doing truly matters.

In healthcare, not every failure is visible.
Treatment can fail, not because the diagnosis was wrong, but because the medicine itself was compromised.
This is what makes counterfeit and look-alike medicines a silent risk.
Greater awareness and simple verification habits can go a long way in protecting patient outcomes.
Letโs spread more awareness on the counterfeit issue and do share this video with your friends and family.

If there is one thing I know for certain, it is this: when a woman thrives, everything around her thrives.
This International Womenโs Day, I find myself reflecting on how profoundly womenโs health shapes everything around us. Healthy women raise healthier families, build stronger communities, and drive more resilient economies. The ripple effect is undeniable. Yet historically, womenโs health has been addressed in fragments, never as the complete, lifelong journey that it truly is.
That is the gap we are determined to close at Mankind Pharma.
With the acquisition of Bharat Serums and Vaccines Limited, we have built one of Indiaโs most comprehensive womenโs health platforms, covering the full spectrum from menarche to menopause. From fertility and pregnancy to maternal care and reproductive wellbeing, every stage and every need are now backed by deep science and the reach to make it accessible to women across India.
But our commitment to women goes beyond healthcare. Through KindCare, our CSR initiative, we have been investing in women across communities in every corner of India. From the Sakhi programme to grassroots leadership initiatives, we have seen firsthand what happens when you truly support a woman. She does not just grow, she transforms everything around her, her village, her family, and the futures of generations that follow.
That is what drives us. Not just building a business, but building a world where every woman has the health support and opportunity she deserves at every stage of her life.
To every woman out there, you are not just seen. You are celebrated, supported, and fiercely championed.
Happy Womenโs Day.

Only 1.9% of women aged 30โ49 have ever been screened. In rural areas, HPV vaccination coverage is as low as 1.1%. These are not just numbers. They are lives that could have been protected.
Which is why what happened in Wardha means so much to me.
Selected villages in Samudrapur Taluka have been declared Indiaโs first completely cervical cancer-shielded villages. Under ๐๐๐ง๐ค๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ฆ๐โ๐ฌ ๐๐๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐, ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐๐ก, we partnered with the ๐๐ฐ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ก๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ค๐ฌ๐ก๐ ๐ ๐จ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๐ง๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง to bring free ๐๐๐ ๐ฏ๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง and awareness to every eligible girl and woman between 9 and 26 years across these villages.
This was made possible by the quiet, relentless work of ASHA workers, anganwadi sevikas, sarpanches, and local healthcare teams who built trust, one family at a time.
I have always believed that when awareness, access, and community come together with clear intent, real change follows. Wardha is proof of that.
Grateful to the team at Swasthya Vriksha Foundation and to the entire district administration of Wardha for their support and guidance in making this possible. Also thankful to our CSR team at @Pharma_Mankind for driving this with commitment and purpose.
This is just the beginning.

Indiaโs healthcare system is entering a decisive phase.
Over the past decade, we have expanded access and strengthened infrastructure. But the nature of disease is changing.
Chronic conditions now drive a growing share of our health burden, developing silently, long before symptoms appear. In this landscape, waiting for illness is no longer enough.
Predictive health is where the next shift begins.
Genomics enables earlier understanding of biological risk. AI, when responsibly integrated, helps interpret complex clinical signals, turning data into meaningful insight.
But the goal is not automation.
It is better judgement.
Technology does not replace doctors; it strengthens their ability to intervene earlier and more precisely. The opportunity ahead lies in building systems that act before crisis, managing health as a continuous journey rather than isolated episodes.

India and the US have now finalised a framework for an Interim Trade Agreement, with reciprocal tariffs on Indian goods set at 18%, down from levels that had earlier gone as high as 50%.
Beyond the headline numbers, what stands out is the intent to move trade discussions forward, addressing not just tariffs, but also standards, market access, and non-tariff barriers. That shift matters.
For industry, especially sectors that operate across global supply chains like manufacturing and healthcare, clarity and consistency in trade frameworks are critical.
This interim framework feels less like a one-off announcement and more like a step towards deeper integration between two large economies, with execution over the coming months being the real test.

The reduction of USโIndia tariffs from levels as high as 50% to 18% is an important development, not just for individual sectors, but for the overall trade environment.
For industries that operate across global supply chains, including pharmaceuticals and manufacturing, predictability in trade frameworks matters as much as cost. When uncertainty around tariffs reduces, it allows companies to plan better, invest with confidence, and focus on long-term execution.
Seen alongside recent progress in Indiaโs global trade engagements, this move reinforces Indiaโs position as a reliable manufacturing and business partner.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2026 today, marking her ninth consecutive budget. What stood out to me was the clarity of direction it sets for Indiaโs next phase of growth.
Positioning biopharma as a key pillar of Indiaโs manufacturing and healthcare journey is both strategic and timely. As Indiaโs disease burden continues to shift towards cancer, diabetes, and autoimmune conditions, advanced therapies such as biologics and biosimilars will increasingly shape healthcare outcomes. Initiatives like Bio Pharma Shakti recognise that healthcare progress today is about more than treatment;ย it is about longevity, quality of life, and affordability, delivered at scale - supported by a โน10,000 crore commitment to strengthen Indiaโs domestic biopharma ecosystem.
I also see strong value in the budgetโs focus on womenโs education and entrepreneurship. The announcement of a girlsโ hostel in every district, particularly for students pursuing higher education in science and technology, is a meaningful investment. When women are able to pursue education without barriers, the impact extends far beyond individual careers; it strengthens families, communities, and the broader economy. Initiatives like She MARTS, building on the Lakpati Didi programme, reflect a thoughtful pathway for women to move from livelihoods to sustainable enterprises.
Looking ahead, the real opportunity will lie in execution. If these priorities translate meaningfully on the ground, they can help Indian pharma move beyond scale towards leadership while building a healthcare ecosystem that is more inclusive, resilient, and globally trusted.
