My son can get a pass to ride a roller-coaster and wear a sunflower lanyard to get support in a shop – but a visit to a hospital emergency department proves both distressing and fruitless @Ian_Goldsworthy

It’s Learning Disability Week…
DO YOU SEE ME
Do you see me, in this quiet space,
A mind that dreams, a heart that races?
Behind these eyes, a world so vast,
Where thoughts and hopes are built to last.
Do you see me, beyond the label,
A spirit strong, a soul that's able?
To touch the stars, to reach so high,
To spread my wings and learn to fly.
Do you see me, not the disability,
But the boundless depth of my ability?
To love, to laugh, to live, to be,
A unique reflection of humanity.
Do you see me, in every challenge faced,
In every triumph, every hurdle traced?
A journey marked by courage, grace,
A life unfolding, finding place.
Do you see me, in your heart and mind,
A person whole, not one confined?
Together, let us break the chain,
See the light in every grain.
Do you see me, as I see you,
A world of colors, not just the blue?
Embrace the difference, hear my plea,
In every soul, do you see me?

I am so proud reading my article and the others too. It’s important people with a learning disability are able to spread the word. what can make a difference is, I would like all Political Parties to speak out on our behalf. @BigIssue@mencap_charity
