Lockdown has been extended in #Zimbabwe by another 2 weeks. Schools therefore will remain closed for the next 2 weeks pending revision based on the number of Covid cases.

At least this time however the girls have textbooks and stationery and can continue learning from home.

The Zim government has made an announcement that school openings will be delayed by 2 weeks in light of a surge in Covid cases.

Meanwhile our teachers will be engaging their students to study at home with the textbooks we provided.

We are also excited that the #Zimbabwe government has confirmed schools re-opening on the 28th June!

This was in doubt down to further Covid cases in the areas but our girls are rearing to go!

Today is World #Environment Day and we joined a charity here in #Harare called Miracle Missions and other organizations (Net One, Spar #Zimbabwe among others) in a community clean-up campaign for 2 hrs in the morning.

Today we spoke with an incredible UK #school about introducing Tuition Twinning.

This gives parents and #students the opportunity to top up their tuition by a small uplift which will remove barriers to #education for a girl in rural #Zimbabwe.

Our first fundraising event #SHEWALKS raised an incredible £2,627!

One of the SHE girls, Mary, walks 15km to school everyday. The event involved walkers from both the #UK and #Zimbabwe virtually walking Mary to school!
