@WitTBso It's not a "desperate move to keep her on his side" because at that point in the story nothing is threatening their relationship. They don't know about Vi yet and are just living their lives.
Jinx came to him because the crystals were triggering her trauma and he came up with++++

So some rewrites are necessary from my point of view.

My best guess is they could use the storyline of his parents being kidnapped, but set in a time where Ekko is too young to remember, and now in present day he finds out about it and goes to save them. And from there, they rebuild the relationships we know in future stories.

@Zekefreak4 @xaeldritch I never said they were dead in my previous tweet, but that it needs to be rewritten to fit the new lore. Because it doesn't make sense for them to be overburdened with work to provide for Ekko when he has a self-sustaining community of his own.
