아미로서 내 이야기 조금 해볼게.
I became ARMY in 2015, and I started Twitter in late 2017.
I noticed that many international ARMY wanted to understand BTS more deeply — the news, the Korean lyrics, and the little thoughts or everyday moments the members shared in Korean during lives. So from time to time, I started posting translations.
I never expected so many people to respond. So many ARMY supported me, and it made me genuinely happy. There were many similar accounts back then, and we all supported each other too.
I had another full-time job, so trying to balance everything was not always easy. But the happiness was always greater than the difficulties, and that’s why I kept going.
As time passed, it became about more than translations. There was a language only ARMY understood, even without words. I loved that. And whenever there was something we could do together—if it meant helping BTS shine brighter and reach further—we did everything we could online.
Through that process, ARMY became closer. There were funny days, frustrating days, and deeply emotional days. We laughed together, got angry together, and cried together.
Back then, I even translated the smallest K-media articles. But now… you know. The whole world’s media is watching BTS.
Sometimes I stop and think about how far we’ve come. It still feels unreal.

BTS’s Gwanghwamun comeback stage featuring Arirang with traditional Korean musicians was the result of 3 months of collaboration with the National Gugak Center. Led by director Yoo Ji-sook, 13 performers prepared extensively, creating a completely new, refined version of Arirang tailored to BTS’s vision, blending traditional sounds with modern, off-beat arrangements.🔥🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏
The performance—featuring live vocals and instruments like geomungo, gayageum, and haegeum—was broadcast globally via Netflix and widely praised. Yoo highlighted that BTS had a dedicated producer knowledgeable in gugak, ensuring the traditional elements were not just background but fully integrated and properly showcased on camera.
Behind the scenes, rehearsals were highly secretive: the night before, the team practiced at Gwanghwamun with all music turned off, using in-ear monitors. Even on the day of the show, BTS continued practicing until 30 minutes before going on stage, despite RM performing while injured on crutches.👏👏🥹🥹🔥
The staging and costumes symbolized Korean identity (Taegeuk colors), and Yoo emphasized that the goal was to present Arirang meaningfully on a global stage—hoping it would highlight the depth and beauty of traditional Korean music worldwide.
