I am SO GLAD the Trump administration decided to completely UNLEASH Stephen Miller on the media.
He regularly displays a masterclass in debunking their lies.
"Guys - do you know the difference between a deportation order and a withholding order? Do you know the difference? Any of you, please? Do you?"
REPORTER: "Well, we're not in the government!"
MILLER: "So you couldn't even spend 72 hours over the weekend learning the distinction you've been writing and talking about this entire time?"
He goes off for over 10 minutes. I LOVE it. @StephenM.
If only we'd gone to war with the Mexican drug cartels instead of Iran, Trump could have saved hundreds of thousands of American lives and made Mexico a livable country.
Also, the Strait of Hormuz would still be open.
I can share the inside baseball here. Not one super PAC, nor Trump WH, has reached out to ask people, "Will you help us get out the vote?" There is a level of entitlement, and then rage when this entitlement is unmet, that I've never seen. Bot swarms seek to discredit anyone who suggests that the Republicans and PACs need to run a better game. It's some bizarre moral black mail scheme. I honestly don't know what people think it's been effective. I've only seen it backfiring.
There are people who have gotten generational wealth by "lobbying" and "consulting" in ways that the general public might find less than ideal. Some of these people are lashing out at anyone who doesn't toe the line, but who have they helped with their newfound wealth? They have not done anything to fund legal defense group for staffers who will face lawfare. Those groups are woefully underfunded. Very good people with new families are already losing sleep. This is unacceptable.
Everyone knows that insiders stick their beak in once their guy wins, and the Green New Deal slush fund makes a lot of this stuff seem like small potatoes. In any case, people talk, everyone knows everything going on in DC. Some, like myself, don't "call it out," because that only helps Democrats. Calling this hypocritical or whatever wouldn't offend me. I am not a priest or pastor or exemplar of morality.
Balancing independent reporting and analysis while not wanting to turn the country over to people who seek to murder children is a line I challenge all of my critics to walk. See what it's like and the feedback you get.
Downstream it's the voters who get screwed, and that's the only reason I haven't totally checked out this cycle. I hope people vote Republican. I've said this repeatedly. But the lack of basic courtesy one would expect has been jarring.
We do this for the country, but also are "only human." When you get nothing but nastiness from people getting rich by riding the waves you create, you are left wondering, "What the hell am I doing with my life?"
My loyalty is always firstly to the people who have read me over the years, as these are the people who want to save civilization, they receive no thanks or recognition, they are expected to eat shit while the big donors get their way. That is the only reason I am still here. If this were truly only about politics, or if this were my career, I'd have left. Every day I want to leave, every day I wake up and wonder why bother.
And before the usual suspects go, "Waaah." It's quite the opposite. People are whining to me, "Do more! You can't sit this out!" Many of these folks recently called me "irrelevant." Suddenly I'm supposed to, without being apologized to, or politely asked, shill for the midterms 24/7.
You can't treat people this way and expect to win like it's 2024 again.
And I speak for a lot of people. Not merely those in my shoes or others, but the voters who lost friends, business opportunities, and sometimes their own freedom, for putting on the MAGA hat.
Ignore my concerns if you like, but this isn't stuff unique to me nor is it new.
Wilson Pickett and Tom Jones "The Midnight Hour"๐ฅ๐ฅ
Tom Jones and Wilson Pickett famously performed a live soulful "In the Midnight Hour", on Tom Jones's television variety show "This Is Tom Jones" in 1970.
So a bunch of elitist liberal white women on the jury wanted to acquit a white woman for murdering three kids and the one man who obeyed the most obvious moral code was a black man whom they subsequently disparaged in the media as some kind of idiot or fanatic. We are done here.
.@UCSB BLM communist Muslim academic โButchโ Ware tells comrades at the Marxism Conference to prepare themselves to kill people on the streets to achieve their political goals.
Thomas Sowell explains why heโs no friend to politics or politicians.
His point is simple: politicians have incentives to tell people what they want to hear, while the consequences of their decisions are often paid by everyone else.
Another reminder from Sowell to look past political promises and focus on incentives, consequences, and reality.
