@southsiderilla@CharlesSawyer7@famexbt Can you buy me tax free gasoline please.
I need about 5,000 gallons.
You know, since taxes are fake and contrived, it should be easy.
Because there is a concerted effort to create a "wealth" tax.
A wealth tax is a direct tax and is unconstitutional. Taxes need to be divided among the states according to their population, so a wealth tax would require a constitutional amendment.
Then who determines "wealth" and what's stopping them from saying *so and so* fits into the wealth tax bracket?
Besides, Elon does not have $1 trillion in cash, he has assets (stocks, vehicles, buildings, etc) and the wealth tax would require him to sell his assets to pay the tax for owning the assets.
That would cause issues with his 160,000 employees and their families... So yeah, there are a lot of reasons to care.
@stelzner_n1150 They don't need to
They need to just run the government in a way that will allow housing to be affordable.
You don't need to nitpick at every little issue... Thought y'all would have learned that by now.
@rittenhouse2a Conspiracy theorists.
Flat Earthers
Trump pedo conspiracy theorists
Anyone who thinks the Moon is made out of cheese
Anyone that thinks baby blood is the cure for aging.
Just all of them.
No need to have them in our society.
It's a finicky balance.
If I start charging $0.50 per apple people probably won't buy them.
But if I increase it to $0.15 then I might sell a very similar amount of apples when they were $0.10.
This goes for most products.
25 years ago. Would you pay $1,000 for a cell phone?
Nope
But now you would.
20 years from now you'll probably pay $3,000 for a cell phone :/
@southsiderilla@ian_heyting@famexbt I can give you one very simple example.
Gasoline.
I use vehicles to transport my apples. The cost of gasoline goes up. The cost to transport my apples goes up.
Not to mention water, pest management, fertilizer, labor, property tax, etc, etc etc
