She leaves a tremendous void and will be sorely missed. Her legacy will live on in the lives she lifted, the hope she inspired, and the example she set for all of us.
Jeanette and I extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and all who loved her. Rest in peace, dear friend.
I called her Utah’s Mother Teresa because her life reflected a profound love for those in need. Pamela didn’t just talk about compassion—she lived it every day. Her kindness, faith, and selfless service touched countless lives and made Utah a better place.
Utah has lost a remarkable servant and I have lost a dear friend. Pamela Atkinson was my special assistant, a tireless champion for those experiencing poverty and homelessness, and a bridge-builder among people of all faiths, the Legislature, and communities across our state.
Here's one of the key reasons why Judge Dianna Gibson decided to make void Amendment D. She writes, "the legislature has a duty and the obligation to accurately communicate the 'subject matter' of the proposed amendment to voters and to publish the text of the amendment in a newspaper in each county two months before the election. It has failed to do both."
#BREAKINGNEWS: A judge as struck Amendment D as VOID. It can be printed on the ballots but it is "void and has no effect." The state has said they will appeal.

Did you know that women make up almost half of the population & they make nearly 85% of the consumer buying decisions? For those reasons alone more women need to be in office, having a voice on issues. However, in addition to that, women need to VOTE! #utpol
I get that during every campaign season there are “sign wars”, but I don’t get removing an opponent’s sign. It’s juvenile and it’s illegal. How you act during your campaign matters.
Today one of the finest legislators you’ll ever meet wraps up his final session as he’s retiring from the House the end of this year. Please retweet to help me thank @lowrysnow for his decade of service to Dist 74 and the entire state of Utah. #ThanksLowry
