My boyfriend sent me a photo from his hotel room.
He was smiling on the bed.
“Wish you were here.”
I zoomed in because something behind him caught my attention.
There was a woman standing in the bathroom doorway.
I called him.
He answered immediately.
“What?”
I asked,
“Who is that behind you?”
He laughed.
“There’s nobody here.”
I sent him the photo.
He stopped talking.
Then he said,
“Baby…”
“What?”
“I took that picture before I checked into the hotel.”
I stared at the photo again.
The woman was gone.
But now there was something else.
