Not to create controversy, but this is kinda scary. Removing education about middle eastern calliphates is weird but fine. But removing a deep analysis of Mughal rule, democracy and stuff is literally #1984 level scary.
@ncert why these specific subjects?
@digilocker_ind I can't seem to use the "forgot password" function. It keeps saying "enter more details" even though I've entered all the open fields. Any help?
@TTimetm@sarahenakamura Ooh that would be fun! I already know they're gonna do a throwback to ma man Tam saying "Maybe do it better the next time". This could be fun as well
@DonRio20@TheWheelOfTime Funnily I feel the exact other way. If they had epic orchestral arrangements idve been bored. Every show that's vaguely not current day has only orchestral arrangements. WOT needs to set itself apart. Plus exp Rock makes sense if you think in terms of a world bordering change
@VCSteel_Wind @LumenGaidin Ancient soaps(not just lye baths) were used as detergents in ancient Greece, egypt, india and China. The Romans made lye common for wool. Even mideval Europe wasnt as bad as oned think.
That being said, WOT actually has detergent, so the question is moot. It's not exactly mideval
@VCSteel_Wind @LumenGaidin Clean clothes aren't a post industrial era idea my good friend. Cultures around the world had cleanliness as part of their daily grind. Spotless everyday clothing has existed since ancient egypt.
That being said, WOT isn't really a medieval era world. It's kinda complicated
@IGN The eye of the world opens.
The wheel of time turns and ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth and even myth is long forgotten When the age thay gave it birth comes to pass again. In one age, called the first age by some, a blood moon rises.
@LordGrimdark I just finished TWOC and very respectfully, Please go fuck yourself @LordGrimdark . It's not decent to write such a fuckin good book and make a man cry. Seeing the twists coming but still being hurt when they happen is just horrible. I hate you. 6/5 stars asshole
@LordGrimdark That begs a question mr.@LordGrimdark . Which is harder, writing a completely new book in a new world or writing a sequel or writing a spin off in the same world?
@drmistercody When something so elementary to life is classified as "original sin", you know shit gonna happen.
"But he would dominate these creatures. He would first convince that their wheels were the devil." Philip Pullman writing a dude wanting to convert a wheeled animal society.
@BlackTowerNews1@TigraineMantear SPOILERS
So that's what slayer is gonna look like.
Isam looks like lan. Luc could look a little like Rand(tigraine is his sister).
So that COULD BE SLAYER
@maiden_of_spear Mistborn is the best place to start The Cosmere. And no. There are no sex scenes. He's a lot like Jordan in that sense. A bit shy about the sex bit.
About the series itself, Mistborn is great. It's not his best work, but the story packs a punch and the world is incredible.
@hw_kramer@rogersonmusic I hope this isn't insensitive Henry but you started off in a massive shadow. And it seems like youre gonna be getting your own shadow fast, from the recording. Looking forward to hearing some of your audiobooks soon.
@Richard_Kadrey I don't know if you're joking sir, but I'm excited nonetheless. I've throughly enjoyed the series and candy/chihiro is arguably my most favourite character. So I'm ready for anything lol
