@Hyunatsu36@GNG_Cooler so it's not a cohesive single story like you claimed it is. and none of the 4 characters are as fleshed out or interested as david & lucy as a result ๐คทโโ๏ธ
you keep contradicting yourself while failing to provide any counter argument
@Hyunatsu36@AtOncrack@GNG_Cooler except you never see her letting it go do you? it was taken from her by force and then you have to imagine that yeah she conceptually lets it go while they never show or address it.
@Hyunatsu36@GNG_Cooler again you're being dishonest without providing actual argument. all season 2 problems are because it's not a single cohesive plot despite being 10 episodes.
@Hyunatsu36@GNG_Cooler yeah season 1 has the same problem and still does it better because david and lucy are miles more fleshed out than any plot point in season 2. season 2's whole plot is disconnected from cyberpunk and all characters are cutouts
do you have an actual argument for saying otherwise?
@Hyunatsu36@AtOncrack@GNG_Cooler D doesn't stop going after his revenge. it was already taken from him. Talia holds on despite her illness because capri was taken from her
@muroh1ro@Genki_JPN smartest 7RE fan over here. this would have been a good argument if resonance wasn't already very close to dragon quest's number 3 days after release
@Animex_Player@Genki_JPN they can coexist. if you do as well then this was obviously not targeted at you. but you got offended because 7R's bloated filler content and 16's brain dead combat has turned you retarded.
they were released late on steam and resonance didn't have a quarter of their marketing
@Animex_Player@Genki_JPN And? resonance is a AA 2.5D non mainline ff game which was made based on an old gacha game. this is proof enough that turn based isn't outdated like XVI fans and 7re onlys suggest
@Hyunatsu36@GNG_Cooler this is very dishonest. you can say maine's death affected david and thus the story and that still doesn't make maine an actual character that was ever fleshed out. same with everyone that are not talia in season 2
@Hyunatsu36@GNG_Cooler D developed on paper while nothing was shown. He's david uchiha for most of the anime then a vegetable after seeing his revenge is long gone. his supposed development happens when he goes after capri which happens in a single episode without showing him moving past his revenge.
@AtOncrack@Hyunatsu36@GNG_Cooler freedom by accepting that you can't beat the circumstances of night city is different than having zero agency in character development. the game makes the exact same point yet V has agency through the player. none of the 4 main characters ever developed beyond their tropes.
@Hyunatsu36@GNG_Cooler they reheat the game's nachos by essentially giving talia the star ending and D dont fear the reaper ending
season 2 does not understand cyberpunk because night city isn't a real element that eats anyone despite of them being special or not, unlike the game and season 1
@Hyunatsu36@GNG_Cooler talia is probably the most fleshed out character in season 2 and even she doesn't get enough agency to have a full character arc and her ending is solely decided D who was also never shown to develop from his revenge obsession-
