Putin: es wird keinen Frieden geben.

No, you’re not sending “more money to Ukraine,” and you never have.
You used to send American money to American arms manufacturers so that American workers and engineers could have more contracts, jobs, salaries, and tax revenue while producing American weapons in America for Ukraine or replacing old equipment from U.S. stockpiles.
That allowed the Ukrainian military to keep saving their country, while your top-tier geopolitical enemy, a KGB dictatorship obsessed with hatred toward you, could be defeated in its war of aggression in Europe and critically weakened for decades to come -- without a single American soldier firing a single shot.
But then you decided to start pretending that night is day.
The simple answer to this question is Ukraine has become very, very good at shooting down Russian-Iranian "Shahid" one-way-attack drones.
Interception rates are routinely around 95%.
No good news for the Russians.
By refusing President Zelenskyy’s offer for direct peace talks, Putin lost his chance to get out of his failed war.
Things will only get worse for Russia. Battlefield losses will continue to grow. Failures will get more humiliating.
The economy will plunge deeper into recession. More jobs will be lost, taxes will be growing, and inflation will hit those most vulnerable.
There are already no safe places in Russia that can be exempt from Ukraine’s long-range sanctions. But their intensity will continue to grow.
The international pressure will not ease. It will only get stronger. Including the use of frozen assets, travel bans, and inevitable accountability for crimes.
All of this because the fanatic in the Kremlin wants to keep in power at any cost and is ready to sacrifice his country’s future and kill millions of people for his insane delusions.
All of this because he doesn’t want to admit a simple truth: he will never achieve his goals on the battlefield and he better abandon his delusional hopes of Ukraine collapsing soon, support from its partners waning, or pressure on Russia easing.
Russia will still have to accept a diplomatic solution but the terms will be far worse.
Putin’s refusal of peace should lead to a significant increase in international pressure on Russia and support for Ukraine.
in a RU-NATO hot war, Russia would get *eaten alive* by NATO airpower and cruise missiles. Likely drones as well.
Which is a big reason why the Kremlin has virtually zero interest in fighting a symmetric hot war against a cohesive, united NATO.
My Kyiv!
On the day of my native city, where I was born and raised, memories come flooding back of the defining hours and days of its defense as winter gave way to spring in 2022.
Back then, our capital became a bristling, proud citadel, ready to fight to the death for its freedom – in that critical moment, it was as if the strength of ancient Kyiv had awakened.
I am sure every warrior who defended Kyiv felt it. The city united the brave – we became its walls and ramparts, and with the force of our weapons and our unity we drove out the filthy invaders. From the victory in the battle for Kyiv, we moved confidently along the difficult path of liberating Ukraine, and the struggle continues.
From Kyiv began the thousand-year history of Ukraine, and today, on the day of our capital, I will name my Kyiv places of strength: the hill above the Dnipro where our Volodymyr the Great stands, old Podil with Petro Sahaidachnyi, the Golden Gate with Yaroslav the Wise, and the majestic Saint Sophia.
And Maidan, where each of us feels the full spectrum of emotions, because here is the site of fateful manifestations of the nation’s will, and now also a place of collective memory for everyone who fell in the fight for Kyiv, for Ukraine.
Kyiv is the foundation of our history, our statehood, our culture, our science.
We are fighting so that Kyiv becomes one of the new centers of strength of a free Europe and the entire civilized world.
Kyiv stands firm and will continue to stand!
Happy Kyiv Day to all Kyiv residents and to everyone who loves our city deeply!
Glory to Ukraine!
Russia is running dry.
Former Deputy Energy Minister Vladimir Milov warns that reserves are being steadily depleted, investment is falling, inflation remains high, and the budget deficit continues to grow.
Wars are expensive, especially funding one you never needed to start. 📉🇷🇺 #Russia #UkraineWar
Damn. If only someone had been saying all these years that European countries should unite and at least close the skies over western Ukraine, helping Ukraine shoot down Russian missiles and drones there in order to:
a) relieve pressure on Ukraine’s air defenses in the rest of the country;
thereby guarantee their own security and b) ensure that no Russian drones or missiles cross NATO borders and strike Poland, Romania, or other European countries.
That’s all. Just shoot down flying pieces of metal, electronics, and plastic over Lviv, not even Russian aircraft with pilots at the front!
Why has nobody ever suggested this a million times over the years?
Apparently, it’s much wiser to keep burying your head in the sand and allowing Russian drones to crash into apartment buildings in European countries.
God forbid Putin gets angry and says it’s an ESCALATION!!!
If we give the Ukrainians Patriots and sanction Russian energy the war is over. In other words, US policy at present is to keep the war going.

It is indeed necessary to step up pressure on Russia so that this war is not dragged out or expanded. Last night, the Russians carried out a deliberate strike on our southern region – Odesa region, which borders Romania. This was yet another cynical attack on civilian infrastructure in our cities and in our waters, targeting civilian container ships.
One of the drones – essentially a “shahed” equivalent – also struck an ordinary residential building in Romania. We wish those injured a speedy recovery. We are ready to support Romania in whatever way is necessary under these circumstances. We count on the European Union’s new sanctions measures against Russia to be truly strong and to make Russia feel that its strikes mean significant losses for Russia itself. That would be fair. Thank you to everyone helping protect life!
🇺🇸🇺🇦 The United States is not leaving Ukraine, and its diplomats, despite Russian intimidation, remain in Kyiv. We will not be intimidated by Russian threats or bullying, we are not afraid, and the people of Ukraine should not be intimidated in any way, — said US Senator Richard Blumenthal at a briefing in Kyiv.
The US senator said that he would return to the United States with a list of Ukraine’s needs:
“Ukraine will win if it has the means to finish the job, and what we have heard in the last few days strengthens my confidence that Ukraine is indeed moving towards victory.
I will fight to bring to the finish line a bill on sanctions that will cut off the revenues that are now flowing to Putin’s war machine and are critically important to it. Without them, Russia will not be able to continue the fight.
In the long term, Putin cannot sustain this war: he is losing 30,000 or more of his troops every month.
According to what we discussed during our conversations with the Minister of Defense, soon the losses will be about 200 lives or wounded per kilometer.
I am convinced that Ukraine is making progress on the battlefield."
Russia, belligerently and unprovoked, has attacked Romania. Families sleeping in their homes are the target of war criminal Putin’s missiles and Iranian drones. This is not the first Russian attack on a NATO state. Deterrence is the only way to stop Russia’s perverse acts. Russia understands only the language of force. The failed Soviet Empire is dead and must never return.
