I'm a Hindu and even my father delayed my marriage (way back in 1991) so it doesn't happen in Muharram or Safar. I still remember I got married on 2nd Rabi ul Awal (12th September)
I won't eat in front of someone fasting in Ramzan either ....
My friends don't order beef when we go out to eat because of me.

Similarly even if you are a Muslim Sunni you can refrain from scheduling your marriage in Muharram
