there’s one mua like this.
She used to do my hair and then she started makeup and added it to her services. I saw the makeup and I was embarrassed for her ngl. 😩

But like 5/6 years later, she’s successfully doing combined hair and makeup for clients and she eats every time 💯

Ngl, the people that inspire me the most to get off my backside on social media are:
the people I initially saw their work and thought it was below average and couldn’t understand how their business continued to exist/ to get clients.

Today their work is incredible and they have solid history in the space, that gives their clients confidence.
You can’t buy years of experience and trial and failure.

the older I get, the more I realise that to have truly ‘made it’ in Lagos is to not have to don designer bags and drive the latest car all the time.
Because it seems like you have to always wear designer slippers and wear a rolex to be considered worthy of that next big contract

Clearly need to start wearing swimming goggles when I go out now. Pollen landing in my eyes everyday is not it. 😭
