It is not clear how the Sudan Doctors’ Union arrived at a figure of 177,000 people still trapped in El #Fasher, but it is a highly credible---and terrifying--- starting number, given reporting to date. The #IOM offers an ominous figure for the number who have fled El Fasher: 36,000. This will surely grow rapidly, even as it means people are fleeing into a maelstrom of violence, depravity, asset stripping—and without food or water.
