Q : Now that I think about it, it seems like Actor Heo Namjun has that side as well (gap between fragile and cynical, just like Cha Segye). Unlike your cynical appearance, you are actually quite bright and positive. You seem to hear a lot of people say they thought you were a cold person, don't you?

Yes. That is why I tend not to wear shield (like Segye). Especially on filming set, I try to be more open and approach people comfortably. Then everyone will tell me that they thought I am someone who wouldn't talk much but turns out I talked a lot compared to their expectations 😅 .

Q : Actually, I (also) did prepare some follow-up questions because I thought your answers will be short during this interview 😁

NAMJUN : But I talk a lot more than your expectation, right? It might be hard to wrap things up 😁.

Q.セリフの難易度が高いというのは現代と朝鮮時代の話し方の違いがあるからですか？

『チャセゲはとにかくよくしゃべるんですよ笑

しかも普段あまり使わないような言い回しが多かったので、感情演技だけに集中することも逆に技術的な部分だけを気にすることもできませんでした。

そのバランスをうまく取ろうと、初めの頃は本当にたくさん練習しました。
それでもいざ現場で演じるとやっぱり難しかったです…
監督や相手役のジヨンさんにたくさん相談して頼りながら演じてたと思います。』

*is there anything new you realized or learned while working with your co-star, lim jiyeon?

hnj: before meeting lim jiyeon in person, i couldn't quite gauge her personality just from seeing her on screen, but i discovered she was truly kind and gentle. eventhough actors are usually busy enough focusing on their own performances, she was considerate of the scenes involving her scene partners as well. many of the scenes that are currently receiving a positive response turned out even better thanks to the discussions we had together. she always kept the atmosphere light with a smile, even when filming was tough, and she worked diligently without complaint, even when pushed to her physical limits. it was a meaningful experience where i deeply realized that the best actors are often the ones who work the hardest.
