THE VISA CRISIS IN THE U.S.

The UMAMUSUME: Pretty Derby concert in L.A. was cancelled, the 4th after KPOPWORLD, TAEMIN and recently a prominent VA from Wuthering Waves that also was unable to enter the U.S. for the concert.

According to the USCIS, it is found that the backlogs of Performance visas have gotten worse, with 2026 nearly doubled in backlogs, from 3.5 months to 5.1 months median. After FY 2024, the length of finalization were delayed ever longer, indicating the current administration is behind these slower process times and tougher approvals to deter immigration visits.

Even if Cygames paid for premium processing (which is nearly $3,000 an individual), there's a 50/50 chance they will encountered a trap known as the Request For Evidence (RFE) trap which will push the approval clock back further. Being the concert having 17 performers, staff and production teams, the RFE would be the reason of the approval not finalized in those 6+ months.

According to USCIS processing times, 80% of non-premium visa cases are finalized in 13 months, more than the 6 months Cygames had to process, which whether premium or not, forced them to make an ultimatum and cancel the LA shows.

2026 has been the toughest year for international acts to perform in the country and many are feeling this pain and may continue unless companies apply far in advance, or there's changes in the government. Entertainment companies that had acts performed here have knowledge of the complications with the American visa process. @umamusume_eng

💛 We’re 20% there! 💛

The Vegas reschedule gives us more time to fundraise. We need your help to reach our $3,000 goal!

Funds first support our Vegas projects. Any remaining funds will help other LiMiNaL stops in need. 🫶

Every little bit helps!
Same love, bigger tomorrow.

A note about the 10/16/26 date

Our photocards have it printed on the back, and our shaker keychains have it on the black tag. Both were made before the concert was postponed.

They’ll still be part of our rescheduled Vegas cupsleeve. New event date TBA!

[💎 SHINee LV @SHINeeVegas]

Our October 11 Vegas cupsleeve is postponed. We’ll announce a new date once the Vegas concert is rescheduled.

The donation drive remains open. Pickup, shipping, and raffle details will be updated for the new event; no items will be distributed before then. Thank you, TAEMates!

[💎 SHINee LV @SHINeeVegas]

With TAEMIN’s North American tour postponed, we’re deciding whether to keep our Oct 11 Las Vegas cupsleeve as a smaller TAEMate meetup or move it to a future date. Nothing is confirmed yet. Would you attend on Oct 11?

[TouringAsiaPop @TouringAsiaPop]

ANOTHER CLARIFICATION

The difference between this tour and that postponed festival is that TAEMIN has also sold over 30,000 tickets in 3 weeks or less in theaters to arenas, not stadiums.

30,000 tickets from 6 concerts is not considered, ‘a flop’. There are unfortunate groups that are under 60% sale rate and hasn’t postponed or cancelled in U.S.

What happened to the tour is undoubtedly visa with agency or promoter processing issues.

He will be back.

Just sharing a headline from my other fandom regarding Visa issues in Oct. This is a multi billion dollar company working on their biggest event 6+ months ahead of time. I think this goes way beyond what Taemin or his company have control over

TAEMIN’s North American LiMiNaL dates have been postponed. We’re heartbroken with everyone who was looking forward to Las Vegas. 💔

New dates haven’t been announced. We’re reviewing our Vegas fan projects and will update you soon. Please keep your donation or order confirmation.
