Mayor Mamdani at the Knicks Ceremony: “We as the city are often forced to come together in the moments in tragedy, what a blessing it is to come together in a moment of joy.”
Made me cry, because it’s true.
Growing up in Boston, we're raised to hate New York teams.
Impossible to dislike this Knicks team. I've been around just about all of these players over the years, and they are so likeable.
Brunson is as selfless, high-character, humble guy as I've been around over the years.
NYC, we gotta keep outside summer going. Use all our new Knicks projectors to play World Cup matches on a random Tuesday. Have Spike Lee movie marathons on the side of your building.
$20 cocktails and bar snacks: OUT. Bodega beers and bags of chips: IN
The Cavs and Spurs announce they will resume the Finals on Tuesday in Cleveland
The Cavs say analytically they would have won 3 games while the Spurs say the would have absolutely dominated all games except for a few mistakes
This puts the Cavs up 3-2 heading into Game 6
🏀 Did anyone come out of the NBA Finals looking worse than Victor Wembanyama?
--22 years old but acted 15
--Disrespected the Knicks all series, beginning with acting like the Western Conference Finals were the real NBA Finals
--Repeatedly tried to injure Knicks players. Other players around the league see that
--Called Mitchell Robinson "boy"
--Tried to pull a Mark Messier/Joe Namath and guarantee a win when down 3-1. Clown show
--Leaves the court pouting after Game 5 without shaking hands
--In sum, he was a petulant child who didn't get his way
The NBA spend so much money to portray him as the next best thing, and then it turned out that he’s just a spoilt brat who talks big, plays dirty and disappears when it matters.
As someone who loves everything about roster building, I hope Leon Rose and the Knicks front office get the flowers they deserve for the team they’ve put together.
They moved in silence, took the bullets along the way, and came out on top.
This is what a team is supposed to look like.
