@afneil Mandelson is a political colossus. If he could have steeled himself to doing what he does best, without the money grubbing, he'd be a worldwide guru now. But you don't get to that level without a serious amount of conniving.
@emily4MK Organisations are perfectly entitled to be trans inclusive. What they cannot do is offer services to a single sex, but allow in members of the opposite sex. If you feel strongly about it you can try to change the law. You're an MP, after all.
@chris_jay_1@afneil Of course. But the point is that Burnham himself called for a GE in very similar circumstances when the Tories were in the process of defenestrating their leader.
@TLTM32@anon_opin Looks like most of them just stay at home and do a bit of work every now and then when they arenโt watching Homes Under The Hammer.
@BreitbartNews You don't earn a large part of your net worth, if you include your pension, your house, investments and any inheritance. This is the case for millions of Americans with a normal 9-5 job. Why should people who take risks and become very successful be treated differently to them?
@RosieKayK2CO@Freedom_in_Arts I read Martin Speake's letter. I agreed with some of it, disagreed with some of it, and thought he was factually incorrect in parts. But that's not the point: how are we supposed to make good decisions if half of the views are immediately silenced?
@RosieKayK2CO@Freedom_in_Arts Wow. This is a great result. Although sadly any teacher will still find themselves biting their tongue for fear of being the subject of a boycott by their students. No one wants to go through what Martin Speake did.
@Its_ereko@afneil Amazingly, quite a lot of British workers are not white. But why would anyone in Britain care about the unemployment rate in a foreign country?
