@SamoraKariuki In SA the need for instant peer to peer cash transfer still exists hence why e-wallet etc have come after MPESA . But you still need to go to an ATM, supermarket to get the cash and still no merchant acceptance. SA is still trying to solve this now with ShapID a unique identifier

@SamoraKariuki I think a few things didn’t work in SA
1. MPESA needed to work legally with financial services provider I.e a bank hence why Vodacom launched it with Nedbank. So first issue was how to market.
2. MPESA is about convenience first not unbanked so, it was not sold well

@Safaricom_Care This isn’t my problem. So you refund 1k and keep 6k of funds that are not meant for the person who owes you money! Really!? That is theft! I would buy if the money was meant for that person. So the messenger must find 6k. Find better ways to collect debt @Safaricom_Care

@Safaricom_Care I don’t get why you cannot refund Ksh. 7k sent in error to someone with a similar name to mine, who you acknowledge isn’t active for 5 months. Money was given to a messenger to send and now they must pay because you have taken money to repay your fuliza? Really?
