My Interceptor 650 (3+ years old, ~20,000 km) has now developed another issue, and I'm genuinely concerned about the recurring electrical problems with the 650 platform.

After replacing the battery for ₹3,500, the bike worked fine for a while.

@royalenfield What concerns me more is that this doesn't appear to be an isolated incident. There are multiple 650 owners reporting batteries draining after just a few days/weeks of being parked, with some even reporting the issue continuing after the battery and RR unit were replaced.

@royalenfield I love the motorcycle, but repeatedly spending thousands just to keep it starting isn't acceptable.

Would appreciate an official response and some clarity on what owners should actually have checked RR unit, parasitic drain, wiring, charging system, or something else?

And if so, what is Royal Enfield doing to identify and permanently fix the underlying cause rather than owners repeatedly replacing batteries/RR units?
