It's not a surprise Leicester are dominating against Fulham u21s
But it's equally impressive how they've not been complacent whatsoever so far. Been really aggressive in their pressing, winning the key battles and 2nd balls
Combination play in tight spaces has been good and precise, leading to good chances and some good goals
#MUWomen are set to begin a brand new era this season as Eva Olid is their new Head Coach!
But who is this young Spanish coach?

🇩🇪 Luzie Zähringer (18, Centre-back) might be one of the best upcoming ball-playing defenders in German football!
She is currently on loan at VfB Stuttgart from Bayern München
To point out one of the key attributes in her technical game: Progressive passes
Consistently she is able to face forward with the ball and break lines to help her team progress play forward into the opponent's half. Whether it be without pressure or under pressure, the composure and consistency for her age is impressive
Keep an eye on her 👀
🇦🇹 Mariella El Sherif (22, Goalkeeper) has caught my attention during Werder Bremen Frauen vs VfB Stuttgart Frauen!
Her distribution short and long has been consistent with the intentions. When she plays short, she tries to eliminate the first line of pressure by playing into the feet of Bremen's pivot. The benefit of this is that it helps her team progress up the pitch
When she looks to play long, Bremen may lose the first ball serially, but they will have numbers nearby to win the 2nd ball. The benefit of this is the same as short distribution, it helps her team progress and attack the opponent
It's been a reoccurring theme in nearly all the matches, which leads me to believe that this way of defending is instruction led
But on top of that, the physical conditioning is really poor which worsens it even more. What this means is that even if players want to duel, to battle, to fight; ultimately they can't as they might not feel robust enough to cope with it
Really enjoying how Milan are playing so far against Lecce, particularly with the ball
They are consistently searching and finding ways to provoke Lecce's backline to react to runs in behind and that's helping Milan have spaces elsewhere or directly having a chance from those runs in behind
I know a lot of people will point to the lack of intensity and running from the players as a player thing through "lack of effort"
But the fact in all games this has happened, it is clearly an instruction. On top of that, physical conditioning has been neglected which is really bad
Pass into middle triggers Wolves to press, ball goes sideways after with forwards already in dangerous positions after stepping up to apply pressure
Lazy pass, punished
I was really pleased with the performance. Disappointing not to win
But there was clear improvements from the previous game, the intentions were there and the players behaviours throughout the match was excellent. It's still not perfect, but game by game we are taking the correct steps forward gradually and steadily
On the intentions and behaviours, it was evident to me in the manner the players attempted to defend when Arsenal had possesion. They looked to press high in the right moments which includes the goal as well as trying to remain compact when needed
It wasn't 'perfect' as there were still some holes Arsenal were able to get into. But as long as the intentions are demonstrated, the coaches can work and work on it until it's done correctly
With the ball, still some teething issues where possesion was sometimes cheaply given away in midfield. But the attitude shown by players to keep intending to play in tight areas whilst under pressure is another positive step. As long as they keep trying, the team will get better over time
@FathalliMo If I remember well from Wednesday night, close proximity between each line really helps. The closer your players are in proximity, the more aggressive you can be
