I don't drink alcoholic beverages by choice and really wish there were better options to casually meet up with people after work/events/etc that doesn't include a bar.
I've survived on mocktails and coaxing people to try cafes, but would love to see a culture shift
Books are my love language. Reading them, recommending them, reviewing them, buying them, gifting them, receiving them, devouring them, cherishing them, browsing them at bookstores and libraries. Truly, there are no bounds.
If the goal of life is to lose your ego i.e the voice in your head, the only time mine goes quiet is with my truest, safest friends.
And honestly this might be the highest and purest compliment I can give them~
Why didn't anyone tell me the meaning of life is going to the cinema as often as possible, taking walks even in winter, dancing at minimum ten hours each weekend, and reading at the café late at night. Things could've been simpler so much sooner.
The private collaboration between author and reader is so beautiful to me. A stranger writes a book full of words and I get to paint it in my mind. How wonderful.
“Think not of the books you’ve bought as a ‘to be read’ pile. Instead, think of your bookcase as a wine cellar. You collect books to be read at the right time, the right place, and the right mood.”
