Apparently, Lamine was a bright-eyed boy until he held up a Palestine flag. Then, he became controversial.
The journalists who make a living romanticising athletes like Muhammad Ali are the first to punish those who try to use their voice for something meaningful today.
This is Damascus, the capital of my country.
Israel bombed it less than a year ago, despite the fact that not a single shot had been fired at Israel from Syria for over 60 years.
This had nothing to do with Iran, Hezbollah, or Hamas. It was part of Israel’s efforts to interfere in the country’s internal affairs and keep it divided and weak.
So when Israelis claim that Israel does not attack those who do not attack it, Damascus proves otherwise.
After whining about the supposed "anti-Semitism" of Hasan Piker, Nick Fuentes and Candace Owens, Rep. Josh Gottheimer slips up by saying that "no one wants– you know, no one took Palestinians" during the height of the "conflict" in Gaza.
Neighboring countries not helping facilitate his beloved Jewish state's ethnic cleansing program = No one "wants" Palestinians.
Note the smug look on Gottheimer's face as he describes them as an unwanted people.
@havivrettiggur maybe elect a govt that doesn’t bring violence to everything it touches, this breeding generations of violence…if you truly care about peace, would you @havivrettiggur be willing to apologize to the Palestinian people for the century of horror that has been inflicted on them?no?
De Niro: I hate to say it, but loving our country is starting to sound like an abused spouse saying they love their abuser.
I can’t love a country that starts stupid and inhumane wars, killing thousands of innocents and indirectly causing the deaths and suffering of millions more.
I can’t love a country that takes healthcare away from millions of people and uses that money to enrich their pals in the Trump-Epstein class.
I can’t love a country that sends out masked militias to shoot citizens in the streets, torture our neighbors, and separate families.
I can’t love a country that’s led by a racist, misogynist, xenophobic tyrant.
And let me just say it: I can’t love a country that’s led by Donald Trump and his sycophant Congress.

@signulll and how much room for predators in this beautiful world is there? why would anyone aspire to destroy the lives of others? harmonizing with the violent agressive side of the psyche, is fine, within the law i guess, but something to aspire to?
@cloudzombi@MarioNawfal whats so bad about dying out, let those who haven’t experienced the immensity and pleasure of existence have a chance to relax and enjoy
@joshua_frenk@NickKristof yes, many (especially the leaders) want violence, suffering across the world and the only value in the world to be money in the hands of men.
but dont forget at least half+ of MAGA find this abhorrent and just got hoodwinked
Three days after publishing this pro Section 224 op-ed, the Washington Post STILL has not disclosed that the author is heavily invested in Israeli defense startups.
@Charles31500723@HenMazzig a war intent on destroying civilians and civilian infrastructure is genocide, esp if it succeeds…you just think civilians should pay the price for their ruling militias actions…by that logic…it is ok if anyone destroys israel for what they did in this “war”great humane logic!
Dropsite's Jeremy Scahill: "The Kibbutz told us on the record that two cases of SA of teenage girls that the NYT, CNN, and the AP had reported, never happened. We went to the NYT for comment, they still to this day refuse to retract it... because it was award season."
Fuck you, @washingtonpost . Amal did not ‘die,’ she was deliberately targeted and murdered after receiving threats from the Israeli army. She was in touch with us, her colleagues, during this situation. We all know exactly what happened. Shame on you for intentionally diminishing the criminality of the actions of the Israeli army with this headline. Shame on all of you and your correspondents in Beirut.
I hope to see you on trial for your propaganda in my lifetime.
