People shouldn't diss Moses Itauma or call him a hypejob, he's got exceptional talent clearly, was just a bit too early for him, he'll be back, not everyone will be able to last that long with him.

Moses’ ego betrayed him tonight. He simply could not accept that another man could keep absorbing his power. So instead of taking what the fight was giving him, he became obsessed with proving that Hrgovic had to fall. Head shot after head shot, loading up, constantly stepping on the accelerator trying to force a knockout that wasn’t there.

But Moses is 21 years old, man. This is exactly where a corner has to become the adult in the room. Calm him down. Make him breathe. Tell him, “Forget the knockout. You’re winning every round. Box. Touch the body. Make him carry you. Let the fight come to you.” Ben Davison failed his prodigy and should be fired for this colossal mistake.

Because Filip Hrgovic is a DOG. We already knew that. I’ve watched this man fight through exhaustion, punishment and moments where his body looked ready to negotiate surrender while his mind kept refusing to sign the paperwork. You don’t keep emptying the gas tank trying to convince a man like that to quit.

Moses was winning the fight. He didn’t need a knockout, but he wanted one more than he needed the victory.

And eventually, the strangest thing happened: the man he was desperately trying to break was still standing and Moses’s body finally said enough.

He won every round, but completely exhausted himself punching Hrgovic’s head and eventually became so depleted that he could barely stand. The fight had to be stopped.

I’ve watched boxing for a long time and I genuinely can’t remember seeing anything quite like this.

Moses didn’t get knocked out by a punch tonight. He simply punched himself empty.

The biggest thing I’ll take from tonight is just how brave and tough Moses was, We knew Filip was super tough..
