the host also said shelter occupancy was at 8000 in april, much less than previous months, implying people are getting inside. NO: in april, thousands of winter service plans beds were removed. less beds available = less people in them. NOT that there’s less people needing them.

just did a segment with @NEWSTALK1010 and the host said in april, 85 people on average got a shelter bed (so union station unhoused people can try!)

factually the host is wrong. 85 people on average COULD NOT get a bed. on avg, only 20 a night would.

various groups have been told by security at union they can’t do outreach or provide harm reduction supplies. the risk of overdose continues to rise AND IT’S HAPPENING. Hearing of a death already. SCS’ close in two weeks.

We are also hearing stories about people being beat up by security at Union Station at least 3 outreach teams who have been asked to leave Union Station for offering important supports and care.

@SHJNetwork They know how unreliable the transit is, so if they need to get to another station, bikes would actually be faster.

Does anyone know why the TTC Special Constables now have bikes? Are they planning to chase people down through the subway tunnels with them? Race after a TTC bus with them? Seriously confused here. #TTC

This is correct. Today I passed by two encampments in plain site that are using non tent structures. I won’t say more as it would identify them.
