Shoutout to our 3 amazing solar engineers! Amanda, Adera, and Rami led the design/installation of our latest solar energy project in Baghdeda, which provides electricity for 365 students. They make up the Shlama Green Energy & have implemented countless solar projects since 2020

In 2021, we installed 104 solar-energy streetlights in Tesqopa, Ainbaqre, Bandwaya, Garmawa, and Karanjok. 5 years have passed - 95% still work, giving tremendous benefits for residents! Thousands of dollars have been saved, as normal streetlights only last 1-2 years in Iraq

For the first time in the 22-year history of Ashurbanipal and Mar Afram Syriac Schools in Baghdeda, students will have proper heating and cooling in classrooms! As part of our ongoing solar energy project, we're now installing 13 heating/cooling units powered entirely by ☀️

We're in the town of Sarsing, about an hour's drive north of Duhok. We're assessing the Kha b'Nisan School, where students are using old, outdated desks/chairs. Thanks to @Rotary Los Altos CA, we'll soon be providing 65 new, modern desks and chairs, along w/ supporting materials
