@wallacemick I suppose ordinary Ukrainians who volunteered to join the military in thousands are "wealthy elites" according to Mick Wallace. But "less privileged" Irish MP from European Parliament will tell them what to do, no worries!
I wrote a short piece on what happened to 🇺🇦 judges in the occupied territories. This is not the most pleasant story to read. However, I do believe that we have to talk about the mistakes that put people in harm's way. That way we'll have a chance to learn not to repeat them.
If you want to know more, please read the full report. It is based on our qualitative study with Ukrainian judges (conducted by the Ukrainian Center for Law and Crime Research).

He mentions among others people burning alive in their houses. He also reportedly cut open pregnant women's bellies - as a form of enterteinment. Besides that, Zass had also one more hobby - collecting severed heads of killed Circassians.
This man is general Grigory Zass. An officer in the Russian army in the XIX century. In the 1830s Zass was tasked with crushing resistance towards russian rule from Circassians. His name would soon become forever associated with bloodshed and inhuman cruelty towards innocent
@RealCynicalFox "It's better to go through life not having seen some things."
"not having seen" means not doing anything about it. And so it will repeat again and again.
How about not looking away? How about fucking convert this into rage and finally help Ukraine? Where are F-16?
This all happened before in Ichkeria. And everybody in the West decided to look away. They decided not-to-know, so that they could go on with their 'normal' lives. And so it wasn't stopped. And so it happens again.
The worst part is: everybody will look away again
If anyone thinks the beheading video is Ukrainian propaganda, too monstrous to be real, here’s an excerpt from Russian journalist Anna Politkovskaya’s book on the Chechen War, where Russian soldiers speak with relish about dismembering the flesh of people from the Caucasus 1/2
There are those who did it and there are those who made it possible. Just a reminder that Ukraine was pressured to give up its missiles AFTER 📷 soldiers cut heads of people in Ichkeria and invaded Moldova.
Everyone outside of 🇺🇦 needs to see that video. Don't look away, see what the reality looks like for us here. And then use your rage to donate to 🇺🇦 Armed Forces and trusted volunteers, pressure your politicians to provide F-16 and ATACMS, come to Ukraine and volunteer yourself.
And for those is the West. Yes, perpetrators are 🇷🇺 and they are fully responsible. But every time you look away, please remember how your governments pressured 🇺🇦 to give up its nuclear arms and destroy its long-range rockets.
