Our technology teachers also did a great job teaching our students how to use various tech tools prior to us using them in the classroom. #justiceingoogleslides
@SWagoner11 I agree. And students could not collaborate on Wixie. I did like that they could record audio which they couldn't do on slides very easily. That was very helpful with my youngsters!
A4 I see from a lot of you that Microsoft is an alternative. I am not very familiar with that. Regardless of the program being used, we want to make sure that all students have access to it prior to using it and that support sessions are put into place. #justiceingoogleslides
@DavidMarcovitz @SWagoner11 Great point! I worked with my team at the start of the school year to help them learn how to check accessibility on documents that were shared with students and families.
A3 All students in my county have access to Google Slides, but there was very little training pushed out to support students and families on how to use them. #justiceingoogleslides
@DavidMarcovitz My students all had a different support system at home so having them all access and use Google slides was difficult as well even though their computers supported it.
@SWagoner11 Yes or change the sizes of images or delete images. I had that happen a lot! Felt like I was just micro managing the whole time rather than assessing their work.
A2 My students struggled to use it independently during virtual learning. Took a lot of time and practice for them to become comfortable. It was also difficult because they all had a different amount of support at home to help them. #justiceingoogleslides
