Asked whether she makes a distinction between the terms "Jewish supremacy" and "Zionist Jewish supremacy," Dr Sabreena Ghaffar-Siddiqui argues that the debate itself reflects how power controls language.

@sabreenaGS contends that colonising systems police language in ways that humanise their actions while dehumanising those subjected to them.

"Our language is being policed while the bodies of our people are being piled up."

Drawing a comparison with discussions of Hindutva, Dr Sabreena asks why terms such as "Hindu supremacy" are commonly used to describe a system or ideology without requiring caveats that they do not refer to every Hindu. In her view, the concept of supremacy describes a structure of power and domination—not a claim about every individual who belongs to a particular religious or ethnic group.
