“WAAKUDZOKERA KUMUSHA?”, quipped the President of Zimbabwe, Dr ED Mnangagwa, as he received the outgoing British Ambassador, Ambassador Vowles, whose tour of duty is coming to a close. A very rooted and mature diplomat, the outgoing ambassador went far in his diplomatic pursuits by electing to pursue quiet diplomacy. He leaves a country which greatly valued his dignified style of engagement. Britain voted for Zimbabwe’s ascension to the UN Security Council.
Mfundisi, nyika ndeyevanhu, kwete Mwari. Mwari akaipa vanhu, handina pandakarava kuti wakazovatorera.
Nyika ndeyedu, let's have dominion over everything on it. Let's fight. God doesn't fight for us. He isn't our servant, we are his servants.
He gave us the tools, the power and intellect, let's use those to fight for our country.
Tisu tinofanira kuirwira, kwete Mwari. Mwari pavo vakapedza.
I reject the derogatory term “amakwerekwere” completely. It is a slur used to insult fellow black Africans simply for being from another country. If loving and respecting other black Africans makes me a “kwerekwere”, then I am proudly one and I will never apologise for that.
I am against illegal immigration and have said so clearly and consistently. South Africa has every right to secure its borders and enforce its laws. But I will not support xenophobic hatred or the dehumanisation of innocent people who are here legally simply because they are black Africans from other countries.
Discrimination based on nationality or skin colour is wrong. We must deal firmly with illegality not turn fellow Africans into enemies. South Africa’s problems will not be solved by attacking people who look like us.
Let’s focus on the real issues: rule of law, border control, and building a better country for all South Africans without descending into tribalism or xenophobia.
Enough with the slurs.

Today, Zimbabwe marks a significant diplomatic milestone as the nation has been elected as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, garnering 182 out of 190 votes.
This resounding victory underscores the effectiveness of our Engagement and Re-engagement agenda, demonstrating the global community's confidence in Zimbabwe's leadership and commitment to international peace.
As we assume our seat on the global stage, Zimbabwe is poised to contribute meaningfully to international peace, security, and multilateral cooperation, championing a fairer and more equitable global order while amplifying Africa's voice.
I extend my sincere gratitude to the UN Member States for their support and to our diplomatic team for this outstanding achievement. Zimbabwe is open for business and now plays a pivotal role in shaping global peace.

Good morning 5am club. Never re-friend a person that has tried to destroy your character, your money or your relationship. A snake only sheds its skin to become a bigger snake.🌺

Today, we go to Parliament to debate CAB3.
Some will debate with money in their socks. Others will rise with the people in their hearts and the future in their hands.
As for me, I know where I stand.
I stand with the citizens.
I stand with democracy.
I stand against 2030.
I am ready to speak. I am ready to fight. I am ready to represent you well.
#NoTo2030.
There is a General who died some few years ago. He had $4 million in Mauritius and a mansion in Dubai. He fell sick in Zimbabwe from "Covid". The healthcare system could not save him. The same thing that happened to Makamba's son.
We once calculated the amount of money Mugabe used for his trips to Glen Eagles in Singapore, he could have built a hospital that took care of him, his cabinet and locals but NO, he preferred to use more than $10 million in Singapore.
Ginimbi was burnt in his expensive car for hours with no Fire Brigade in sight.
They flaunt their ill-gotten riches and smack on our faces but they fail to realize is that the basics that everyone needs are absent. When they need them, sometimes that money won't save them.
A functional healthcare system is good for everyone. We have to get rid of Mnangagwa and his cabal!!!!
Good morning 5am club. Make yourself easy to root for. Be kind. Be reliable. Celebrate other people’s wins. Work hard without complaining. Carry good energy into rooms. You'll be shocked by how many doors open for you by making life better for others.🌺
I am saddened to hear of the passing of Zimbabwean political activist Linda Masarira.
Linda and I held different views on Zimbabwean politics. We disagreed on how the struggle should be approached and on how politics in Zimbabwe should be conducted. At one point, we even had a public fallout. But later, by coincidence, I met her at a SAPES dialogue, and we ended up talking and laughing about the fallout we had had on social media.
Although we did not agree politically, we remained cordial. Whenever we bumped into each other, we would chat and laugh about many things, including how she was perceived in Zimbabwe and the way she approached her politics.
Her passing at such a young age is deeply sad.
I am also posting this message for those who look up to us in politics and public life to understand that there are moments when we disagree and fight fiercely over politics, but there are also moments when we must put politics aside and allow humanity to take centre stage in our lives.
Her passing is also a painful reminder of the state of healthcare in Zimbabwe and how even people deeply involved in politics can still find themselves failed by the very system they believed in and defended.
Beyond political differences, no Zimbabwean should struggle to access proper medical care in their moment of greatest need.
My heartfelt condolences to her children, family, friends, and all those who loved her.
May her soul rest in peace.
From house to house, Zambians are opening their doors for us, welcoming us into their homes & having genuine political conversations about our country.
I promise you my people, we'll build our political base on the Copperbelt & take that base all the way to the Lusaka streets !

LET DOWN BY THOSE SHE SERVED.
She was my friend and confident. She loved Zimbabwe and did so much in the national interest. She did even more for the second republic but the system never recognized her love in return.
In the last few years after Covid she struggled with respiratory issues, diabetes and heart complications. She constantly needed assistance to pay very costly health bills and government never helped, despite the huge role she played for them. Even now, I was laughing at her that she was still supporting CAB3 to prolong the term of those who never cared for her. Rest in peace my friend. We have lost a very powerful patriot.
Now watch them spoil her in death but yet they never looked after her in life.
