@Simon4NDorset Have you glanced in the windows of local North Dorset Boots branches at the aisles (no access to cosmetics) or the posters in the windows requesting customers purchase only essential toiletries and medicines only? #pharmacyfocussed
@PatPatel17 @Martin123Amy @Simon4NDorset@UKHomeSecretary@BootsUK 50+ new scripts daily in our branch for the last fortnight from relocating persons, customers arriving early & then waiting, 3 months worth of meds being requested, elderly customers panicking and THEN usual repeat scripts and essential paperwork...yes, workload has increased x3
I am an NHS nurse and not social media savvy - I only have 106 followers & I’m OK with that. I want to show how Covid-19 can spread VERY easily from 1 person to millions. Share this and show those who are not listening how easily things spread. 1 retweet is like touching 1 person
Thank you for highlighting the increased demand and stress on pharmacies, pharmacists, patients and customers in these difficult and potentially dangerous times.
Some very cold people queuing for the 2 @BootsUK dispensaries in Blandford Forum this morning. Queues far too long. Opening hours too short and who can afford to close for lunch given scale of demand? I’ve fed in my observations to Boots HQ and await response.
@trevorkirkwood@Simon4NDorset@BootsUK (2/2) Are you aware that prescriptions can’t be handed out without the presence of a pharmacist? Pharmacists and their teams need a break in the middle of the day to ensure that they don’t go “name blind” to the sheer volume of medications. Opening hrs reduced to catch up.Think!
@trevorkirkwood@Simon4NDorset@BootsUK Thank you! Not only this, imagine the increased demand on pharmacy and health services with 3 months worth of medication requested, multi-script collections and a surge in patients isolating in their second homes. Now factor in the need for physical distancing guidelines...(1/2)
