Twitter and other social media can be excellent tools to educate yourself, find community, and even build political power and organize. But if it gets to the point where it’s sapping that energy that’s so necessary for putting those beliefs into action than it’s just not worth it

@SocialismS4A We actually studied this in a molecular biology course I took last semester, SARS with mink in particular and the threat of viral reservoirs. Idk how it’s developed over the past few months but it’s definitely always a worry.

But if what he means is that he wants to live in a world where women doesn’t have to be afraid then yeah, Id like to live in that world too lol.

@EnbyNo @_mothmans Yes, it’s more nuanced than that and women can be predators too. I personally just haven’t met these “man haters” people are talking about. At least never in real life. Not that they don’t exist, I just think more often it’s just women being cautious

@EnbyNo @_mothmans When I’ve heard talk about men being a threat it’s referring to the fact that you don’t always know who’s safe & who isn’t so a lot of women keep their guards up at all times if someone uses that to excuse abuse that’s terrible but I’ve seen the former far more often

@greatthorn @ComradeKimDawn Yeah, it’s all well and good for us to recognize ML is feminist and anti-racist but people need to actually put that into practice. If women, for instance, don’t feel comfortable/safe organizing with you you’ve got a huge problem
