#BREAKING - The LCBO now says all its stores will remain closed for the duration of the strike. It is scrapping plans to open 30 locations three days a week starting Friday. Says non union employees will be re-allocated to facilitate online orders and to help wholesale customers.
Wake up Ontario. Learn the facts of Doug Ford & LCBO. Learn the facts on OSC & Ontario Place. Every move Ford makes moves public tax dollars into corporate profits. Read, learn, educate yourself. Two things Ford counts on; apathy & ignorance. Don't give it to him.
We need revenue in Ontario and we should be using our (historically massive!) budget to invest in the people of this province.
Over and over, this govt prioritizes private interests over public good. This is the first LCBO strike ever and it's about jobs and Ontario. #onpoli 2/2
With LCBO workers now on strike, let's take stock.
Ontario generated ~$2.5 billion from the LCBO in 2023. That revenue helps support services like schools and hospitals (or a spa parking garage, I guess).
We will lose much of that - for more expensive product. 1/2
