@sudburydotcom Staff & @lufappul made concessions on an extremely long contract during an illegitimate insolvency. Now @LaurentianU has huge surpluses, employees took cuts, inflation skyrocketed & the @fordnation cap of 1% is illegal. But nobody is advocating for those employees. #shame

@dwmorck @AlbrechtS_H Or you would think that an experienced insolvency judge (armed with letters proving that the CCAA was a preconceived plan, not a necessity) would see right through the scheme. I would assume that recognizing insolvency would be the primary requirement of the job.

@AlbrechtS_H @GreaterSudbury Even when City Council decides to spend money, rather than build a great facility, they sprinkle it all around @GreaterSudbury. Politicians get to brag about the tiny amount of money spent in their ward, but nobody uses the inadequate infrastructure.

@AlexUsherHESA If it was a “retire or be fired prior to emerging from insolvency” order from the Board, at least “retirement” means the President and Provost won’t be listed as creditors, taking from the tiny pot for paying out pennies-on-the-dollar severances of those who were unjustly fired.

@sudburydotcom The only people benefitting from this unnecessary insolvency process dragging are the private sector vultures who have drained tens of millions of tax dollars from a public institution. Why are the senior administrators still running things??? People will stay if there’s hope.

They (and their professors) had to overcome so much more these past two years by virtue of their University’s mismanagement…and they still managed to be the best. That’s a testament to their perseverance. Congratulations!

@AlbrechtS_H If I’m in the Sault, why wouldn’t I re-elect him? He was in charge of a Ministry that let @LaurentianU fail and resulted in record applications to Algoma. His failures led to huge economic gains in his riding. Elect yourself an MPP who grows your economy by destroying others.🤮

@DavidAlbert70 @sudburydotcom Unions were cut out of decisions. The measures (job losses & salary cuts) were imposed. Ont. taxpayers should be furious at the millions of dollars wasted (& continuing to be wasted) by incompetence. If a Conservative government won’t fire people who waste tax dollars, who will?
