NJDOT crews are actively working to clear downed trees and wires following the severe storms that moved through north and central Jersey this evening.
Use caution if driving as there several roads that have partial or full closures. Avoid driving over down wires and trees.
Severe storms have caused power outages across northern and central New Jersey.
If you've lost power, please report your outage to your utility company as soon as possible. Stay away from downed power lines, and follow guidance from local officials as crews work to safely restore service.
Due to damage from the severe storms that went through the state, train service is suspended on Morris and Essex, Gladstone Branch, Raritan Valley, and North Jersey Coast Lines. Crews have been deployed to assess and repair damage to the infrastructure. Service has resumed on Main, Bergen County, Port Jervis, Pascack Valley Lines and Hoboken with residual delays.
