@jackfriks i bought a samsung t7 and taped it to my hardshell case. connected ssd to mac with a 13cm high speed usbc cable. been using like this for 3 years now
i just got an e-mail from microsoft, they are remotely trashing my office on my mac. starting july 13, i will not be able to create, edit and save documents using the digital copy i bought for a one-time $120.
absolutely furious about this. i use word and excel everyday on my M1 macbook, specs and environment will not change, yet a remote server will tell my office to block document editing!?
i bought a copy exactly to prevent this situation ever happening, to use it offline, to edit private documents locally, to avoid subscription and the online editor hell that comes with it. i need to find an alternative that lasts.
@NapierHolland@elemntor i used to develop wp sites with custom themes and plugins and one of my then clients onboarded a new marketing (?) person who told them elementor is the best
we had to install elementor and a bunch of other addon plugins that their new hire requested. totally trashed the site.
i accidentally posted the same video on tt twice (i thought its just gonna post once idk what happened)
what do i do? both videos are getting likes
asking the tt ogs @jackfriks@alexcooldev@iamgdsa

@alexcooldev@ZackThompsonDev afaik you can buy a US eSIM, but if you are outside the US, that eSIM will connect to the carrier that is available locally, which will assign you an IP in the country where you are
there is an eu initiative for a data lake that you can query to get all the invoices where you are marked as the buyer
this would mean no logging in to dashboards to download invoices to then send them to your accountant, they could just download all invoices through this service themselves
would be nice to have it globally, but for eg US does not care much about this (although they should if they continue doing business with EU companies)
Yes but then you'd have to give your logins to ALL your secure services to them, which is a big security risk
Imagine giving a company your server dashboard login just to get a PDF invoice which they can also use to delete your server!
