Today, our Hon’ble Chairperson Smt. @MamataOfficial and our Hon'ble National General Secretary Shri @abhishekaitc addressed an important virtual conference with counting agents from every Assembly Constituency ahead of the vote counting on 4th May.

They comprehensively familiarised our counting agents with the entire counting process, clearly outlining their roles, responsibilities, and every crucial procedural step, while urging them to remain cautious, vigilant, and diligent in discharging this critical duty.

The people of Bengal have voted decisively in favour of development, in favour of Joraphool, and now it is our collective responsibility to ensure that their democratic mandate is protected, defended, and counted without compromise.

The Prime Minister and the Home Minister speak endlessly about Nari Shakti. They posture on women’s empowerment and perform outrage for the cameras.

But their conduct tells a different story. The Prime Minister publicly mocks a three-time elected woman Chief Minister with “Didi O Didi,” delivered with visible condescension. The Home Minister echoes it with “Ei Didi,” reducing a respected leader to a taunt.

This is the “Poriborton” the BJP seeks to import into Bengal from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. It is not change, it is a regression in values. An insult to Bengal. An insult to every woman in this state and across the country.

On 4th May, the people of Bengal will deliver a verdict that cuts through this hypocrisy once and for all. And that response will be decisive enough to remind these ZAMINDARS that respect for women is not a slogan, it is a standard!

BJP leaders believe they are above the law. And they have raised their children to believe the same.

In Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, BJP MLA Pritam Lodhi's son rammed his vehicle into 5 people, then blamed the victims for not clearing the road fast enough. He threatened bystanders to stop recording. And then told the police, with breathtaking arrogance, that his father was an MLA who could handle even a murder.

This is not an isolated incident. In Lakhimpur Kheri, former Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni's son ran over and killed 5 people in cold blood. The Minister kept his cabinet post. A pattern this consistent is not coincidence. It is culture.

BJP's culture. Where power is absolute, consequence is optional, and human lives are an inconvenience to be handled by a phone call to the ‘right’ person.

This is BJP's DNA.

I spent the first day of the Bengali New Year, Poila Boishakh, in the most meaningful way possible, among the people, walking with them, sharing their smiles and their strength. This is where I draw my purpose from. Since taking office in 2011, my singular commitment has been to serve my mothers, brothers, and sisters of Bengal, to ensure that their aspirations are heard, respected, and fulfilled. That is the promise I have lived by every single day.

But today, it pains me deeply to see the suffering and humiliation being inflicted upon them by Bangla-Birodhi BJP. Their existence is being questioned, their constitutional rights are under threat, and in BJP-ruled states, people are being tortured and tormented. They want to impose uniformity by erasing our language, our culture, our food habits, and our diversity. They believe Bengal can be controlled from Delhi and Gujarat. They are mistaken. Bengal will never bow.

It is our collective duty to ensure that Bengal remains in the hands of those who respect our Maa, protect our Mati, and stand with our Manush. I appeal to each one of you to place your trust in us once again. Support our candidates, Mosaraf Hussain from Itahar, Md. Ghulam Rabbani from Goalpokhar, Minhajul Arfin Azad from Chakulia, Krishna Kalyani from Raiganj, Satyajit Barman from Hemtabad, Nitai Baishya from Kaliaganj, Hamidul Rahaman from Chopra, Kanaia Lal Aggarwal from Islampur, Goutam Deb from Siliguri, Sanjay Kujur from Nagrakata, and all our Joraphool candidates across Bengal.

The arrest of Vinesh Chandel, co-founder of I-PAC, barely 10 days before the Bengal elections, is not just alarming- It shakes the very idea of a level playing field.

At a time when WB should be moving toward free and fair elections, this kind of action sends a chilling message: If you work with the opposition, you could be next. That’s not democracy- that’s intimidation!

What makes it even harder to ignore is the double standard. Those facing serious corruption allegations seem to find protection the moment they switch sides, while others are swiftly targeted at politically convenient moments. People are not blind to this anymore.

When institutions meant to protect democracy start feeling like tools of pressure, trust begins to erode. On one side, the Election Commission. On the other, agencies like the ED, NIA, CBI stepping in at the most sensitive time. It creates an atmosphere of fear, not fairness.

India has always taken pride in its democracy- loud, messy but free. But today, many are beginning to ask: are we still that country?

This is bigger than one arrest. It is about whether our institutions remain independent and whether every citizen, no matter their political belief, can participate without fear.

Because once fear replaces freedom, democracy becomes just a word.

To Amit Shah and the BJP’s power structure- Be in Bengal on the 4th and 5th of May. Come with Gyanesh Kumar and every agency you deploy. Bengal will not be bullied, will not be silenced and will not bow. This is a land that answers pressure with resistance and it will show you exactly what that means!
