Mikel Obi’s encounter with Abrahimovic when his father was kidnapped is something I find very amusing. It must have gone something like this.
Abrahimovic: Your dad has not been released. Should I step in?
Mikel: It’s not your problem. This happened in Nigeria.
Abrahimovic: I’m aware it happened in Nigeria. I’ll get him out in 24 hours.
Mikel: Ahhhhh. What is happening here? I mean Northern Nigeria. It is not somewhere you want to be.
Abrahimovic: How you reason me sef? Because I dey here dey watch ball with una, no dey look me like that ooo. Chelsea na Pet project. I do things you can’t comprehend. I’m a Russian Oligarch. Men mount! If I say he will be out on 24 hours, he will be out in 24 hours.
Mikel: Who the hell are you?

Today marks 13 years since we lost our dear President and my brother, Umaru Musa Yar'Adua. His memory lives on, and his contributions to our nation will always be cherished. May Allah (SWT) grant him a place in Aljannah Firdaus. Ameen.
We'll Never Forget You!
Today, as always, I remember my good friend and brother in the struggle for democracy and good governance in Nigeria, late President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, who died on this day 13 years ago.
